George — Restaurant in Zurich

Grüezi! I am utterly disappointed with the service here. As a visitor to a beautiful country and city’s the world talks highly about.

We came here to enjoy the famous restaurant that apparently had good reviews. Introduce by my Switzerland 🇨🇭 Friends, to only be dismayed.

Due to the attitude of the server🗿, throwing remark such as “if you gonna order just 6oyster, the world best cheese platter and 3 cocktails you should just sit at BAR” or you can leave to view another restaurant. To be honest, such ordain for me to experience over the years of restaurant critics.

It’s sad to know, even if you have a good Resturant, good review but with one server. It could really, impact the overall of your experience. Invest on the culture and people because they made you a better person.

But I have to say oysters we had was really good and fresh, cocktails were made with great range of profiles, their world best cheese to conclude indeed subjective to one’s taste.

To conclude their manger attended to my guests and I. He was explaining the situation & rectify action to mitigate. I explain to him, its not about compensating but that such act should never happen to anyone in this service/hospitality line.

Good service can save a bad meal, but there is no level of food that can save bad...

Bad service... Clowny... Please managers of this place : read this! Much love to your bar.. It's beautiful but.... The service was impressively bad.. We waited first 15 minutes for a waiter to come.. They had noticed us at the door as we came in, said hello and still didn't send anyone to our table outside.. A waiter came later and gave us the menu... We waited again 10 more minutes. I went inside to find the waiter that was liteally eating cucumbers behind the counter. As I saw him he said "oops you caught me".. I was in a good mood and found it hilarious but still unacceptable.. I mean.. Cmon.. I said to him "hey.. We've been waiting really long and you are here eating.. For real? “ He said "Don't worry I'm sorry I'll give you a discount".. He poured us more wine but never gave us a discount. Seriously guys... You gotta do this better... It's a nice place and we were actually quite chill and not in the mood for a debate or complain but I feel this must be said.. This is terrific service and the reason why often people think being a waiter doesn't deserve a good salary. Please ppl.. Do it for the respect to...

As a professional with over 15 years of experience in the service industry around the world, I decided to visit my workplace as a guest after my last day of working there( George bar and grill). I really want to share the incredible experience I had.

Beyond the exceptionally cooked and fresh food, the atmosphere in this place is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. It has the perfect vibe for a dinner with friends – cozy, warm, and welcoming. The staff truly embody the role of hosts, creating a positive vibe and enhancing our experience with their genuine care. Everyone was so kind, welcoming us with warm smiles throughout our time there. The drinks were a true symphony of art, made with passion and heart, while the dishes we enjoyed offered a colossal explosion of flavors. The vibrant music and the friendly people around added to the charm.
