The location is very central and the business clearly relies on this for it's customer base. Seating is extremely cramped and no consideration given to covid social distancing. Table for two barely has room for two dishes and drinks. I was sitting elbow-to-elbow with our neighbors!
We ordered chef's special soup noodles, chicken satay, crispy fish cakes and the pandan tea. The "crispy" fish cakes were squigy and were obviously microwaved. The pandan drink lacked any taste whatsoever. The chicken satay tagged more like sweet and sour. The chef's special soup noodles was ok but portion was not generous.
Regarding service, we were lucky to have been served by the young waiter, who spoke fluent English and conducted himself professionally and politely. The females waitresses, however, were the completely opposite. Judging by the accent, I would guess the waitresses are authentic Vietnamese. Their German and English were not fluent.

Read moreFinding a bowl of Bún Bò Huế abroad feels like such a blessing. The broth is rich and flavorful, with that signature spicy kick from Hue. The beef is tender. The fresh herbs aren’t as diverse as back in Vietnam, but still enough to satisfy me. Just one bowl is enough to make me homesick for Vietnam.
The coffee at this place really surprised me. It has that bold, distinctive flavor and strong aroma you can’t mistake for anything else. I’ve tried many kinds of coffee abroad, but only Vietnamese coffee gives that true wake-up kick. As a proud Vietnamese, I can say if you’re looking for an authentic Vietnamese spot, come here and try it, I promise you won’t regret it.
The decor is airy and spacious, with a touch of old Saigon charm blended with modern style. I really like this place and will definitely come back more often on weekends...

I’m not sure if I've become picky because I've tried many places, or if my expectations are high due to what people charge in Zurich, but the food here is just okay and not particularly special anymore. I used to love this place, but it no longer meets my standards for flavor and service given the price. The service is very slow, even when it’s not busy. My meal was slightly salty, the rice was soggy, and it was even hotter than the beef. If I'm paying 30 CHF for a meal and 14 CHF for appetizers, I expect fresh hot peppers, not bottled hot sauce. Sorry, but you’ve lost me as a customer. Maybe I’ll come back...
