The location is very central and the business clearly relies on this for it's customer base. Seating is extremely cramped and no consideration given to covid social distancing. Table for two barely has room for two dishes and drinks. I was sitting elbow-to-elbow with our neighbors!

We ordered chef's special soup noodles, chicken satay, crispy fish cakes and the pandan tea. The "crispy" fish cakes were squigy and were obviously microwaved. The pandan drink lacked any taste whatsoever. The chicken satay tagged more like sweet and sour. The chef's special soup noodles was ok but portion was not generous.

Regarding service, we were lucky to have been served by the young waiter, who spoke fluent English and conducted himself professionally and politely. The females waitresses, however, were the completely opposite. Judging by the accent, I would guess the waitresses are authentic Vietnamese. Their German and English were not fluent.

2 🌟 for the waiter. 1 🌟 for...

Finding a bowl of Bún Bò Huế abroad feels like such a blessing. The broth is rich and flavorful, with that signature spicy kick from Hue. The beef is tender. The fresh herbs aren’t as diverse as back in Vietnam, but still enough to satisfy me. Just one bowl is enough to make me homesick for Vietnam.

The coffee at this place really surprised me. It has that bold, distinctive flavor and strong aroma you can’t mistake for anything else. I’ve tried many kinds of coffee abroad, but only Vietnamese coffee gives that true wake-up kick. As a proud Vietnamese, I can say if you’re looking for an authentic Vietnamese spot, come here and try it, I promise you won’t regret it.

The decor is airy and spacious, with a touch of old Saigon charm blended with modern style. I really like this place and will definitely come back more often on weekends...

I always come here whenever I crave Vietnamese food. One thing that hasn't changed is the service—it's slow as usual—but the f.

I’m not sure if I've become picky because I've tried many places, or if my expectations are high due to what people charge in Zurich, but the food here is just okay and not particularly special anymore. I used to love this place, but it no longer meets my standards for flavor and service given the price. The service is very slow, even when it’s not busy. My meal was slightly salty, the rice was soggy, and it was even hotter than the beef. If I'm paying 30 CHF for a meal and 14 CHF for appetizers, I expect fresh hot peppers, not bottled hot sauce. Sorry, but you’ve lost me as a customer. Maybe I’ll come back...

I hate to give restaurants such low ratings but if you have eaten good pho and are looking for good pho in Zurich then you need to avoid this place. I love pho and have gone to many different pho places in many cities and different countries and Saigon Restaurant pho is probably the worst I have ever eaten. Took two bites and could not take anymore of this flavorless mess. I was so disappointed and am just frankly astonished how this place is rateed 4.3 stars. I can only assume the rating is built on their other dishes, my wife had a tofu noodle dish which was decent and the pork fried won tons were good not great. Just be aware and avoid the pho at this restaurant!!!

We made a reservation on their website for a weekday dinner for two. We were seated inside quickly, and given menus, however, it took a while for them to take our order. We ordered two of their homemade drinks, the rosehip iced tea, and the passion fruit and apple juice, which were both delicious. For starters we had the lemongrass beef summer rolls and the tempura vegetables. For mains we both had the Wagyu beef Bun Bo Hue. The broth was delicious, however the wagyu could have been cut thinner so that it cooked through more consistently, it was chunky in some sections and remained raw but was otherwise delicious.
