BIERlab — Restaurant in Zurich

Nice and friendly brewpub I visited shortly after their opening.

I had a cucumber beer. It was somehow special and not so bad. The beers are unusually low on the abv so it is not the usual craft beer you get wasted fast with.

Inside it is nice and they always have 6 or 7 of their own and one or two guest taps. The beers are brewed right next to the bar in their own brewery. So ways are short.

It was a little too loud when I was there. Barely possible to talk to each other and only one mens toilet which was always a line in front of. It is clearly visible, that the bar used before only as a local restaurant with not that many guests at once (more likely tables with seating instead of standing tables).

Maybe after the first hype is over it will be frequently visited by less people.

A Funky and Unforgettable Experience in Zurich

What an amazing briefing in Zurich! I had the chance to taste one of the most peculiar and funky beers I’ve ever encountered,an Indian Pale Ale, aged for 2 years and fermented with wild yeast. Slightly sour, with vibrant citrus notes, it was bursting with personality and completely different from anything else on the market. Oliver recommended it as something truly unique and he was absolutely right!

He also led the introduction and presentation with great energy and clarity, creating a perfect flow for the event. And a big shoutout to Miruna, who was super friendly and added a warm, personal touch to the whole experience.

This bar/microbrewery is welcoming and has well kept and well brewed draft craft beers. The staff are knowledgable and will happily give you a recommendation, or provide you with a flight to try several.

The beers are varied across the styles, and all of them are tasty. If you come from somewhere with a highly developed craft beer scene, you may find the flavour profiles a bit conservative in some cases, but they are all solid and well rounded beverages. I certainly enjoyed them all.
