Haha, some of these 2- or 3-star reviews are absolutely wild. Take this gem: "It's nice and always crowded, which… is a good sign, but to me felt a bit too tight and cramped." MATE, so if it’s empty, that’s a bad sign, and the place isn’t worth going to? But if it’s full, it’s also bad? Can this business ever win in your bizarre little universe?
Follows up with: "The girl who served us wasn’t the most cheerful and friendly." Oh, really? And YOU, my friend, are a sparkling beacon of joy and positivity 24/7 at work? What if she just got terrible news—like her dog died or a friend got sick? People aren’t robots! Maybe she wasn’t overly friendly because, just a hunch, you weren’t exactly delightful company yourself.
And another one: "Went early in the morning for breakfast, and some basic items were sold out." Wow, genius. Did it occur to you that maybe it’s because the place is so popular? They’re not running some secret portal to an infinite croissant dimension!
Honestly, people like this should just stay home and spare the rest of us their idiotic google review musings.
Now, my experience: the staff were chill, doing their thing, and they made an excellent coffee—no small feat for a coffee snob like me. I’ve been hunting for a proper cup in Zurich, and this place delivered. As for the chocolate croissant (or pain au chocolat, for my fellow Frenchies), it was 10/10, one of the best I’ve ever had. Coming from someone who lived in Paris for six months that’s saying something.
The vibe? Super chill. Comfortable couch seating, perfect for reading a book, browsing the interwebs, or catching up with a friend. And here’s a groundbreaking tip for avoiding crowds: go in the middle of the day when it’s quieter. Shocking, I know.

TL;DR: I have the feeling that this is the kind of place you just go because of the vibe and the quality of coffee/food. If you expect great service, especially from the owners, then I suggest to just go somewhere else.
My first time here, (years ago) I wanted to order a coffee to take away and after waiting 5 minutes in the counter on a non-busy-day I decided to leave and take my coffee somewhere else.
My second time here a friend of mine suggested to meet at Bros Beans & Beats and the service/coffee (in average) were great. I went a couple of times to the café and most of the time the experience was similar.
But my last time there was not that great, mostly because the guy on the counter, same guy that ignored me the first time I visit the store a couple of years ago. He looks arrogant and doesn't give "welcoming vibes". But the coffee was great and the girl that was taking the orders outside was also really nice.
If you come with the car there are a lot of available free parking spots...
Read moreSaturday around 11am, there were tables free outside and inside. Kind waitress immediately gave us a table, we sat down... and the wait started! First, it took longer than 5 minutes to just get the menu. Then somebody came with two glasses of water, that was nice. After exploring the menu for a while (many options look indeed nice as the reviews suggest), we tried to get some attention to order. We tried and tried and nothing. Personnel were busy, which is completely understandable, but I expect to at least be told, sorry, we are busy, I will be with you in XX minutes. Nothing. Totally ignored. Waited a bit longer and decided to leave. When leaving, a waitress noticed, I let them know the service was too slow for us, and instead of an apology, the answer was 'we are busy today and I was about to come to your table'. Oh well, with that service and that answer I don't feel like I'm...
