The restaurant did a very good job on TikTok showing what they don't actually show or offer in real life. When we arrived, we had to wait a few minutes because the girl at the entrance was serving dishes, which seemed very strange to us from the start. When the girl found time, she assigned us a table. A few minutes later, we realized that there were only two waiters serving between eighty and a hundred people. The waitress who attended to us did everything possible to serve us well and was very kind, but we could tell she was stressed because there was very little staff. We started with some beers and, as a starter, we ordered some fried chicken wings and a type of empanadas. The kitchen probably also had few workers because, first, it took a long time and, second, of the two things we ordered as starters, only one arrived. When we mentioned that only one dish had arrived, they said they would bring the other one, but it never came. For the main course, we ordered some udon and other dishes, but each dish disappointed us. They looked presentable, but the taste had nothing to do with it; what they offer as South Korean food is almost an insult. Unfortunately, we were swayed by the very good videos, surely paid for, and the Google reviews, which upon checking, we realized that many are not real and probably also paid for. The price we paid for the food has nothing to do with the quality shown in the videos. It was our first time going, but we...
Read moreMiss Miu in Zürich is a really modern and flashy Korean place right in the city center. The vibe is fancy and stylish, definitely not your everyday casual spot. I had the vegetarian Bibimbap along with an appetizer (forgot to take a picture) and both were really good. The Bibimbap was fresh, tasty, and filling, with a nice mix of flavors and textures.
The service was super friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated a lot. Another nice thing is that you don’t really need a reservation here, you can just walk in and still get a table which makes it convenient if you’re in the area. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s on the expensive side, so it’s not the kind of place you’d go to every week, more for when you want to treat yourself to a nicer meal.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Miss Miu if you’re in Zürich and craving a lovely Korean meal in a stylish setting. The food is delicious, the staff are kind, and while your wallet will feel it a bit, the experience...
Read moreMy friends and I visited Miss Miu and had a mixed experience overall.
To start on a positive note, one of the waiters was working his very first day and did an excellent job — he was attentive, friendly, and handled everything really well. In fact, we heard he was hired afterwards, which is well deserved!
Unfortunately, the service wasn’t consistently great. Another waitress asked me to take a very hot board (with a plate heated to around 200 degrees) directly from her hands. That felt a bit unsafe and could have easily resulted in a burn — a little more care here would have been appreciated.
As for the food, it was okay — not bad by any means, but fairly average. The beef bao buns stood out and were definitely the highlight of the meal.
One dish I wouldn’t recommend is the frozen matcha dessert. The flavour was extremely faint, and the overall taste reminded me more of sour milk than matcha. I was hoping for something much richer in matcha flavour and...
