Chickeria Langstrasse — Restaurant in Zurich

AGGRESSIVE STAFF/FOOD BAD COOKED/MONEY NOT REFUNDED FOR THEIR MISTAKE!!!!

Tonight 14 of October 2019 at 8pm I had dinner at Chickeria in Langstrasse ZH. I ordered a Poulet Kebab with + 1CHF potatoes. As soon as I received my basket I immediately noticed that the potatoes were soaked in oil like from the deep fryer straight to my basket. I then kindly asked to the guy at the checkout, Joel, if it was possible to make a new one because really with all that oil it wasn't edible. He kindly replied that no problem with my request and the only thing it was that I had to wait the 3', which was perfectly OK to me. I went back to my table waiting until the moment a very pissed off woman, the cook, maybe Indian with tattoes on her neck, wearing Chickeria's uniform but not showing her name, approached me with the basket of kebab I gave back to Joel asserting really aggressively that those potatoes were fresh, what was my problem and so on. I came back with her to Joel for having more explanations since the minute before it was everything sorted. She said still really aggressively that Potatoes are like this full of oil, which is not true because I have eaten here for months and never had this problem and also first time I had my food prepared by this cook - and if I wanted I could have a new Poulet Kebab but with Pommes, which according to her retained less oil. Long story short, without been refunded of my 1 CHF I had regular Poulet Kebab with Pommes soaked in...

Due to a hangry emergency we entered here when just passing by. It was afternoon and almost empty.. Which made me think, is this a bad idea maybe...? But we went through and ordered chicken nuggets with fries and Sinalco. The guy serving us was super friendly and the order came quickly. When I ordered I asked if it was possible to get both, mayo and ketchup, already expecting the "yes of course but it will cost you an arm and a leg for a tear size" but he just smiled and said "od course!" And guess what? There was enough mayo and ketchup to for both, the nuggets and the fries. And the hot fries were really good! Crispy but not hard and the chicken nuggets? They were juicy! Hence, entering here and ordering was not a bad...

Nice chicken! It was quite a surprise to find this fast food restaurant at night. Other restaurants were very, very busy and I bumped along this fast food restaurant nearby. The staff are friendly and the service was quick. The ordering style is similar to other fast food chains. The food was surprisingly good, the chicken was soft and not too dry. Most meals come with a bottomless drink. I would recommend this place to others if you can’t find a seat at restaurants!...
