It breaks my heart to write this review. What could have been the ultimate magical experience of snow-covered fondue eating in a gondola came crashing down due to sub-premium service and an under-prepared concept. We paid premium prices, 39 fr pp for fancy fondue (whiskey and champagne fondue, quite good and fair price by itself) and 21.50 kids meal (too much!!), for a rather sad ending. It was a rainy turned snowy evening during our meal - what was seemingly magical at first. The staff seemed rather inexperienced and incompetent (felt like students without any service training or background) - our server, who never even introduced himself by name, kindly suggested to take our jackets before getting into the gondola for dinner. Bad move, who knows where he placed our pile of jackets - because at the end of the 1.5 hour meal, our jackets were returned soaking wet and cold. This caused a meltdown in our tired toddler who couldn't put on a cold, wet puffy jacket and drama with our visiting family who are elder and not comfortable putting on a wet puffer winter jacket either.

Drinks and food were wonderful, the gondolas a cool concept. But there was no way to contact our server during the meal without opening the door and chasing him outside in the rainy, snowy cold. Could have been a chance to add a flashing or colorful light attendee call function inside the gondola for service. Or some kind of sound call function?

Also please provide Wifi!! No internet signal there- some folks wanted to post to social media (positive initial experiences), and couldn't. Further, our cramped impatient toddler who couldn't get out to run around in the cold snow had no fallback access to cartoons on our phones (major drama for not being able to relax and enjoy our meal as parents). Our server again kindly tried to offer a hotspot, which of course failed when he walked away too far.

Intentions seemed good, but just failed on several accounts.

Very pained to write this review as we paid a pretty penny for such a crushing, dramatic end to such high potential. They need to prepare much better for the elements! (Rain, snow) Provide higher level of service to match price point. And PLEASE consider families not only romantic couples. Kids love the gondola (don't charge so much for a kids meal and provide a solution for trapped kids sitting still for 2 hrs! Maybe coloring books, wifi, tiny screen to watch something and/or digital...

Well! Have I got to tell you all about this place!! One of the most incredible winter spots in the entire country, let alone the city of Zurich! Many popular places are because of some viral instagrams, but this is popular because it is so good! You must however book well well in advance, if you want to go around Christmas, it will be booked by October, so if you snooze, you lose! We arrived at 6pm, had a 2 hour time slot for us in one of their lakeside heated gondeli! They offered us their signature glühwein, which was delicious and service was lightning fast and always checking in on us, to make sure we were having the best possible time (ps we were)! It is a pricey place, but for a treat or a date or a birthday, couldn't be more worth it to gorge on delicious fondue and their chicken nuggets are to die for! They even have a music box in the cable car, which we connected to ourselves and had our own cool playlist!! And I need to mention Latif, absolute legend, took such good care of us! Thank you very much mate, you really were the most fun and hospitable waiter I have met in Switzerland!! You should visit just...

Amazing experience but it's also way to expensive. The atmosphere is superb! Great for dates or groups of up to 4 people. Fondue was good. Nothing to special. There's a fried chicken sidedish for CHF 19.- with like 6 chicken wings. For 19.- I could expect a proper meal and not... a couple of wings. Glühwein for CHF 16.- is insane.. and I would consider it stealing.
