La Trattoria Blumenau — Restaurant in Zurich

The worst service I have ever had. The waiter/owner, an Italian wonam was so unprofessional and arrogant after she found out that i didn’t want to order a main course but only wine and cold appetizers that she began to threaten me that otherwise she will charge me it! After i said that ok, to support you somehow (already without a big wish but with big disappointment) i will order a dessert and she said No, only a main course! How is that even possible?! The desserts are in average 11 chf there, is it not enough to drink vine, water, food- 35 chf and plus dessert- not enough? She came back and slapped the bill on the table with the words- it is my place and i don’t want you here. Moreover, she really charged food which we never had. I am shocked and i would never recommend this place! I would accept it if 1. The minimum bill would have been mentioned in the menu/anywhere else 2. She could have asked politely to order something else if they are suffering from lack of clients/income or whatever (still i find it wierd). But just kicking out the guest?!.. and charge the food which they have...

Used to be a nice atmosphere. Has been taken over by new management and the owner is super rude.

I politely waited to speak to them to ask them to keep the path clear for pedestrians, the manager started asking what my problem was and then saying I was disturbing his guests, when he was the one shouting over the table and I had been waiting to speak to him discreetly while he took their order.

Really enjoyed the ambiance and outdoor seating! Really nice space. Food was decent but nothing mind-blowing. Not too expensive (for Zurich standards) and they have lunch menus that come with a salad or soup.
