McDonald’s — Restaurant in Zurich

Terrible level of service in this restaurant. Management itself comes up with some idiotic rules that are a violation of consumer rights. For example, I made a small order and wanted to eat it upstairs, and before that go to the toilet and wash my hands. The security guard/bouncer, a two-meter gorilla (why are they needed in a fast food restaurant?), began to tell me that they have some kind of rule according to which, with an order like mine, they cannot let me into the dining area or restroom. Although I already had the check and food in my hands. That is, I'm a client who made an order, but I am not allowed into the the dining area or restroom, citing some completely fictitious rule that has no force. At the same time, they communicate in a boorish manner with an imperative tone. I have traveled all over the world and nowhere have I encountered such terrible service that doesn't meet any standards as in this particular restaurant. I think that the company should draw conclusions regarding the absolutely incompetent and inadequate management of this restaurant, which cannot provide even the most minimal level of quality service to customers. The most terrible experience of my life. Would never go to this...

Visited this branch on 8 April 2023 night time. We accidentally place our bottle of coke on table, and there was a rude bald guard on duty came over and asked us to throw the bottle of coke to rubbish bin because “it does not belongs to Macdonald”. He could have just asked us keep inside our own bag.

So, How was this guard be so rude to instruct us throw our belongings instead of keep it? Why was this guard only tell us to throw, when there are a few tables around us with bottles clearly not sold in Macdonald but he keep quiet? Is it because they are white and we are asian? Is he being racist and just purposely find us trouble? We will feel fair and square if he did asked everyone to keep “things does not belongs to Macdonald”, but no, just us, is it because we are asian and easy to bully? We had been to multiple countries and multiple macdonald, never ever had we been bothered with our belongings on table when we are the customer, who spent money and eat macdonald food there, we are not sitting in the restaurant for free.

Overall a bad customer service ruined our dinner. Beware on how you treat your customers as it carries the image of swiss restaurants towards...

Inportant note: My rating is compared to other McDonalds's & Burger King etc. - set your expectations, it's McDonald's, fast food & "cheaper prices", not a normal restaurant!

Relatively small McDonald's (i.e., stairs that lead to the seats in the 2nd floor are uncomfortably narrow) and since it is next to one of the most frequented train station it usually gets very full during rush hour. Subsequently I prefer to take out for this specific McDonald's. Otherwise your standard McDonald's (food is standardized amongst them).

-0.5 star for being so narrow when you go to the the seating in the second floor (not sure they can do anything about it, but search for a new location) -0.5 star for being not clean, particularly often dirty/sticky floor
