Just make it clear the one star is because of the polite staff at the entrance. I think they are the least to be blamed in this restaurant. 2 days ago I went to this place, for the first time, and got a bit surprised what the management was thinking when they set up this useless concept. Imagine this, you go to a restaurant together with you partner, you want to eat a pizza and your partner is totally into pasta. Now you queue for the pizza and let's say there is only one person in front of you. 4 minutes later you submit your order and your partner is at the pasta line but there are 7 people in front of her. She will definitely wait for 20 minutes until she can submit her order. While your pizza is fone and you have eaten it, your spouse comes to the table and eats alone and you just watch her. Yes exactly this happened to me with my kids. The worst part was when it was my turn to order the pasta, the chef had two stoves in front of him but was not smart enough to ask the lady behind me what she wants to order. No, he was cooking only my pasta. Even my 11 years old daughter was asking me why the guy cannot cook for two customers in the same time... I guess this explains how this shop functions. Will I go again? Hell no. Life is too short to...
Read moreWe ordered the Gamberi and Granchi Di Fiume, cooked by the same person at the same time. The Gamberi had twice the salt while the Grabchi was bland. Worst still, the campanelle was soggy for both dishes, and just felt like lumps of flour.
Salad was good. Felt fresh and crispy.
Just like another review, the concept is weird and rather bad in exection. If two people want something different, they easily end up eating on their own because of the different queuing time for different kind of food. Even when we both wanted pasta, I was confused about how to make it work for us. I ended up queuing for the salad first, took it back to the table to share, then I went back to order and wait a while for our pasta. If I did it in one go, I felt that it would have taken ages before we could eat, or I have to leave the salad on our table for ages...
The seating area downstairs was...
Read moreVapiano is always a safe option for Italian food. It is not the cheapest, but with the price tag comes quality. If you order pasta you can see the meal being prepared right in front of you. They have a variety of interesting options, and as the meal is being prepared right in front of you, you can make requests as to how you like it as they make it. If you get a pizza they have a modern system including a buzzer you can take to your table that lets you know when your pizza is ready. In terms of drinks, I would especially recommend the peach ice tea as it is the best peach ice tea I can think of. They also have an interesting system where they give you a card that you use to pay for everything you get during your meal and then pay off the card as you exit. You honestly can not go wrong, delicious and good quality food is guaranteed...
