We came here on the day of the Sechselauten festival for dinner, it was very busy but we had a reservation. The food was great but the service was TERRIBLE and DISGUSTING. Our waitress was so rude, I can’t count the amount of times she rolled her eyes, threw her hands up in the air, or got annoyed with us for no reason. Definitely not worth the visit with the way we were treated. She got frustrated with us when we weren’t quite ready to order and the carry on when we needed to enter our pin to pay, all because “she didn’t have time for this”. Tonight we (6 of us) had a most enjoyable time at Restaurant Weisses Kreuz. We had Twice the Meal for half the price of anywhere nearby. The restaurant is attended by mostly local customers. We were tourists and THOROUGHLY enjoyed our meals, the service, and the atmosphere. The staff quickly recognized that we spoke English and immediately brought the English Menu. THANK YOU for being so observant and thoughful. We really appreciated it. Sadly we all leave Zurich tomorrow and will not likely ever return but I felt that it was important for those who follow to be made aware of what a GEM this place is. Do not be intimidated... I recently visited a restaurant for lunch and had an overall okay experience. The food was decent, nothing exceptional, but it was satisfactory. However, the service was somewhat disappointing as we had to wait longer than expected for the bill.
