Disappointing experience. The food quality was significantly below Zürich's usual standards – sticky textures, subpar ingredients, and a generally unappetizing presentation. Despite this, prices were comparable to higher-quality restaurants in the city. The over-the-top presentation, with dry ice and multi-tiered plates, felt like a distraction from the genuinely poor food. The atmosphere was equally off-putting, with cold decor and mismatched music. The gyozas were the only marginally acceptable item. Ultimately, this restaurant offers low-quality, overpriced food in an unpleasant setting. I’m sure there’s better sushi around and there is room for improvement in this spot. If it weren’t for our extreme appetite at the moment, I’m sure we wouldn’t have consumed half of the things we got had in front of us. My partner and I love sushi and we often visit sushi bars and restaurants in Zurich. Negishi is probably the best among those given the great products, friendly and efficient customer service, and good looking premises.

Negishi is also really good (compared to other sushi places in Zurich) when it comes to veganism. My partner and I are vegans and our sushi choice is usually quite limited. However, that is not the case at Negishi where there are plenty of vegan options both hot food and sushi (given the vast choice, they should perhaps even open an entirely vegan restaurant which would certainly gain visibility on HappyCow and attract many vegans).
