Wochenmarkt Bürkliplatz — Local services in Zurich

I mainly visit the market (it is there every Tuesday and Friday morning) to bath in the abundance of colours (flowers and vegetables) and enjoy the diversity of the different veggies, herbs and fruits. You do find vegetables you usually don't find in the common supermarket. You can also buy nice bread and cheese and even fish and meat. There are also speciality market stalls where you can buy Italian food such as pasta, cheeses, salami etc. or dried fruits or variations of honey for example. The only negative and sadly noticeable point is that those market goods are generally (more) expensive. Surely one can argue that quality has its price, but it is definitely a place I couldn't afford for...

Fast schon regelmäßig bin ich am Dienstag morgen und am Freitagmorgen auf diesem Markt und meistens schon um 6 Uhr in der Früh wo das meiste schon aufgestellt und parat ist zum Kauf. Absolut hervorragende und sensationelle Ware präsentiert sich da eine Reihe nach der anderen und ich wüsste nicht wo ich bessere und frischere Ware kaufen könnte. Dazu sind alle Leute sehr freundlich und gewillt auf einen Kunden einzugehen und genau das ihn zu erfüllen was der Kunde möchte. Nach all der langen Zeit kennt man sich natürlich dort schon und man grüßt sich und lächelt einander zu und es ist grundsätzlich eine ganz hervorragende Stimmung und je früher man hinkommt desto mehr Parkplätze hat es und desto schöner ist es sich dort aufzuhalten und durch die einzelnen Stände zu schlendern. Und zum Teil wenn man die Preise anschaut für die kleinen Sträußchen sollten sich andere professionelle Geschäfte weit verstecken die für das gleiche wenn sie es überhaupt so schön hinbringen mehr aus das Doppelte verlangen und dann hält es erst noch...
