Summary: made us pay for food with hair in it

Got a slice of chocolate cake (7 CHF), paid upfront. After a few bites, we noticed there was a long hair in it. We returned the cake and they took it back.

Later one member of the staff came to our table and offered us a small sweet snack (worth 4 CHF) and said they were sorry.

When we left, we asked for a refund for the 7 CHF cake. They refused to give us a refund, saying that they had already given us that apology snack for free (which again, was worth only 4 CHF).

We told them this didn't seem fair. We essentially paid 7 CHF for a 4 CHF cake, plus we had the bad experience of finding a hair in our food.

They kept repeating that they couldn't do refunds, because the system doesn't support refunds and that they fixed the problem by offering us that free snack.

We told them that this was a sure way to lose customers, making them pay for bad food that they didn't eat. Still, they wouldn't budge.

Oh, and in the end, they didn't even throw away the cake from which our slice was cut. They kept it on the shelf, to sell more of it to...

.... Wow - this abnoxious man - being on the telephone 📞 made it absolutely easier NOT to EVER walk in to dine/buy anything.

Without paying attention that they were closed, we walked in to simply look at the items and possibly take away as we just had dinner at Don Leon Restaurant ...and I kindly asked the woman if we could have a look. . . Instead of her answering us, this insolent man, again being on the phone, gestures with his hand rudely, ""shew" "shew" "shew" we're closed!!!"

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Especially, being with my elderly mother, he had No decency to just say, I'm sorry but we're closed. His inappropriate demeanor was absolutely Not necessary.

This experience Completely threw us off. Imagine dining there and dealing with this man. 🙄😒

It saddened me, because I've been there with my brother (though a while ago) and have had breakfast...and I went back because of remembering that moment. 🙁

What has become of humanity, where basic common Courtesy - respect and decency No longer...

Absolutely TOP! I'd love to point out how good are the people from POUSHE! HOMEMADE food at its best! You can rarely find such a place nowadays, where EVERYTHING is freshly made from great ingredients. I have my favorite strudels from the salty ones (spinach and feta with 2 salads aside) and from the sweet ones as well ( apple caramel and pumpkin cinnamon). P.S. : Try the HOMEMADE Ice Tea! No sugar, from dried fruits, absolutely stunning! If you want a traditional full of sugar drink- better go somewhere else. Here everything is homemade and not coming from bottle. I am very happy these guys STILL KEEP THIS HIGH STANDARD!
