This was a lovely quaint restaurant, went on a Friday (with a reservation) and there were still seats available. Proud of it's slow food certification, beke makes all of their own food from scratch. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was all smiles. The food was good, what is recommendable is the pizokle and the breaded carrots. The wine menu comes as a deck of cards so it can be used to entertain the little ones. The restaurant is dog friendly and is in an area where parking can be found (although it may take 10 minutes to find a spot). Outside seating is nice, right near the Ida platz. Read moreI've been to Beke many times and finally have the time to write a review. Although Beke is located in a very trendy neighbourhood, the service and atmosphere are exceptionally warm and welcoming – not cold or pretentious like in many other trendy spots.
The food is also excellent and changes regularly – I’m always excited to see what’s on the next menu.
Another great sign: the staff at Beke doesn’t constantly change. This consistency makes their friendliness feel truly genuine and not forced. I really hope I’ll get to visit Beke...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to trying this place since we live nearby, but unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The café was nearly empty when we arrived. We waited at the entrance, made eye contact with both waiters, but no one greeted us.
We eventually sat down and waited another 10 minutes, completely ignored, even as they served others who arrived after us. It felt rude, so we got up and left.
Such a shame, because the place looks lovely and we were hoping it could become our regular...
