I found this restaurant by chance during my apartment search in Zurich. Since it was about dinner time, why not give it a try. The place was along a row of old building block, occupying the corner. The place was empty and I got my seat. The room was rich with the aroma of Indian spices, but slightly laced with staleness. The place is dated, furniture and finishing. The service was prompt and could be warmer. I ordered the lamb biryani. Portion was good and the lamb was tender, well cooked with a good infusion of spices. However, it was a bit dry, overcooked or overheated maybe. The rice was an average grade of basmati. The good quality basmati is long grained, fluffy and it will melt in the mouth with minimal chewing. There was a decent infusion of the lamb flavour and spices in the rice, but nothing like "Dam" biryani. The rice too was a bit on the dry side. Presented in the typical Indian brass mini pot with an accompanying bowl of vegetable raita. The yoghurt used in the raita was fresh, thick and rich. More cut vegetables in the raita would have added more texture and flavor to it. The chilli pastes and chutney at the sides were good. The price was to be expected and overall it is a decent meal. I am not sure of the halal authentication. Worth another visit after I try the few other Indian restaurants in Zurich and have a...
Read moređš Extremely disappointed with @TajPalaceZurich and @UberEats! On the night of July 3rd, I placed an order through Uber Eats from Taj Palace Zurich (Hönggerstrasse 25, 8037) â I ordered Veg Paneer, but they delivered Non-Veg Chicken instead. đĄ
As a vegetarian, this is completely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. To make things worse, neither @TajPalaceZurich nor @UberEats is accepting responsibility OR refunding the money or taking responsibility. When we called Taj Palace Zurich on July 3rd 11:00 PM, the manager refused to even express regret let alone apologise or correct the mistake.
This isnât just a simple mistake â itâs a serious failure in respecting dietary preferences and basic customer service.

When we left a review earlier, their auto bot simply writes a response to manage their google reviews, but no genuine resolution. They didn't even provide any email address or Whatsapp number for coordination - that shows how fake their response is. Given that, we were vacationing in Zurich last week, they just took advantage of the situation. Will highly discourage anyone to order from @TajPalaceZurich and...

This is one of the oldest Indian restaurant in Zurich, and it continues to live up to its reputation by serving food that is fresh, tasty, and authentic.
I am a regular customer and one of my absolute favorites is the Vegetable/Dal Khichudi. Itâs a wonderfully comforting, wholesome, and balanced one-pot meal â light yet filling, nutritious and full of flavor. For me, itâs the perfect choice when I want something both satisfying and healthy.
In Zurichâs gastronomy scene, where new restaurants often appear only to disappear just as quickly, this family-run establishment has managed to preserve its heritage and stay true to the authentic dining experience it set out to offer.
The atmosphere also adds to the charm. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel indoors, and on a bright sunny day, the terrace garden overlooking the Limmat is a wonderful spot to enjoy a relaxed meal with beautiful views.
If you are looking for authentic Indian food in Zurich, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Itâs a place with history, heart, and...
