A bit disappointed with our visit today-
Service: we arrived at almost 7pm, and were greeted with a guy with glasses and neck tattoo, he wasn’t very excited to see us and let us know they close in an hour so we need to finish by then. we ordered as soon as we can knowing they’re closing, husband got his rice dish within 10 min, but my pasta did not arrive until 7:55, almost an hour later. The waitress was really apologetic about the wait and they all apologized to us several times, and gave only me (even tho there’s two of us) a complimentary frozen yogurt.
Food: husband ordered the hamburger curry, sauce was flavorful but the patty could use more flavor. My meat sauce pasta that I waited for so long for, was very blend. I’ve tried many gluten free pasta in the US, and this was not very good. It’s very starchy, and sticky. But I think the overall problem was not enough flavor. Pudding dessert was delicious tho, it seems like people post more about their desserts.
Atmosphere: the restaurant area was really cute and comfortable, but the bathroom was really dirty, it almost didn’t seem like it’s part of the restaurant. Dirty foot prints, overflowing trash can with dirty tissues. I used the bathroom around 8:09 and they closed at 8, so I’d assume they’d be cleaning up by now, and the there was an employee that went in before me, so I’m surprised nobody went to clean up after seeing the condition.
Was excited to find a gluten free place, but now I’m hesitant to come back. Although I was hoping to try their new konjac ramen dish (sold out today),...
Read moreGluten free in Taipei, Taiwan!!! I am visiting here with my friend and it has been so hard to find gluten-free food. I have literally eaten sushi five meals in a row. I happened across this restaurant and it’s soooo good. we got the okonomiyaki, katsu curry, matcha cake, and soufflé pancakes. All were incredible. I am currently trying to work off the food coma I ate myself into. Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant and very clean. I highly recommend if you want yummy gluten free or vegetarian food in Taipei. By the way, just to help the non-chinese speakers, in order to find the restaurant, it’s on the second level, so don’t be confused when you don’t see it where google maps tells you it is. You have to go into the building and...
Read moreI really enjoyed our lunch here. We had green curry and some minced meat dish, and both were wonderful.
The food was full of flavor, but not just sauce, like most other restaurants, but instead actual delicious flavor of all the ingredients. It was soo good, I packed our curry sauce to go, just so I could make something from it at home.
We got lucky to come first, so food came out pretty fast, but as the lunch crowd funneled in, our deserts took a while to show because there are only two people working here, and they can only do so much at once. I would recommend planning for extra time, or just coming here when you are not in a rush.
We finished the meal with delicious gluten free (and egg free) cakes and coffee.
All in all, it was a great...
