If you can get past the pervasive smell of moldy mildew like 阿公’s wet socks left out to dry (unlike the socks, you won’t notice it after about 15 minutes)… and avoid noticing signs of disrepair like picture frames falling off the wall… and suppress the urge to purge when you see Ivanka Trump’s book on their decorative shelf (the book is an empty shell… I mean, an actual empty shell - a fake book - above and beyond book+author being actually empty and fake)… then you will enjoy a standard (which means good and dependable) Wowprime/Wangping meal, best for families and oldsters (with wet or dry socks). Special points if you can navigate the myriad coupons and vaccine promotions and birthday discounts. One request — please, Wowprime Group, don’t allow people to purchase fewer meals than the number of people in their party. My wife and mother-in-law can’t help themselves and always Oder 3 meals for 4 people, or 6 for 8. I, as a foreigner son-in-law, am in no position to stop them....

Visited after many years, and while the food was not bad, around a 6/7 out of 10. What really stood out was the service from the assistant manager, Ms.羅. She was incredibly attentive, kind, and thoughtful throughout our visit. When the hojicha we ordered turned out to be too sweet, we asked to switch it to hot coffee. She took care of it right away, no fuss. The coffee was much better, and her helpful attitude really made a difference.

Even though she was clearly busy managing other tables, she was quick to respond every time we needed something. She stayed calm, friendly, and efficient the whole time. In contrast, when we made a similar request to another staff member (Ms. 吳) earlier, it was forgotten. She didn’t smile or engage with us much, her tone was just neutral, nothing more.

Years ago, I thought this was a hip, trendy place with pretty good, creative food. Not so much now, or maybe just this location. Food is OK, not great, but very reasonably priced for a multi course meal. Did not care for the beef my wife ordered, but the seafood combo was pretty good, especially the scallops which were perfectly cooked. Clientele is primarily families with kids, and seniors at this location, so we felt a bit out of place. Standouts on the menu were the sauteed mushroom appetizer, and the triangle shaped fried rice ball, which was delicious. I'd almost go there just for that... Service was fast and efficient. I would sum up by saying not bad...
