I recently visited during my trip to Taiwan (15 Aug 7pm) and I must say I was quite disappointed with the overall experience. While the food was decent, the service provided by the waitress aunties left much to be desired.
One of the main issues was their unfriendliness towards tourists. They seemed reluctant to provide basic customer service, like refusing to provide spoons when asked politely. Additionally, requesting assistance for something as simple as taking a group photo was met with resistance and only begrudgingly fulfilled after multiple requests.
Another concerning aspect was the lack of clarity in their billing process. All receipts were issued in Japanese, making it difficult for us to understand and verify the charges. When seeking clarification from the cashier, I found them to be unhelpful and unwilling to provide any explanation.
Overall, this experience was disappointing, especially when compared to the generally friendly and accommodating nature of the Taiwanese people. While I understand that every establishment can have its challenges, I hope that they addresses these issues to provide a more pleasant dining experience for all customers...
Read moreThe Raw Beef Nigiri cost $40 for each. This was my first time trying raw beef and it was less juicy but tenderer. Cold Japanese Noodles ($160): This had always been one of my favourite Japanese dishes and there was a little egg on the saucer area with wasabi and green onions. The noodles dipped into the runny eggs actually was something special that you should try out.
The hot green tea and the dessert which was red bean soup are complimentary. There aren’t any soft drinks on the menu but they DO have colas.
Last but not least, the restaurant was quite bustling and nicely decorated with traditional Japanese style. When it comes to the price, it depends on what you order. If you order combo meals, it would be cheaper. Overall, it’s a...
Read moreDec 2022 I want to mention I only understand English, and I was taken here by my Chinese-speaking relatives. We came during the lunch rush, so there was a bit of a wait. The place was dimly lit and noisy. They have tables, booths, and seating at the sushi bar. The staff were polite and brisk, and gave us wet towels when we sat down.
We got some of the combos: BBQ Mackerel, Eel Rice, and Pork Katsu. The combos come with rice, miso soup, marinated radish and cabbage, and steamed egg. The mackerel and tonkotsu also came with an extra veggie dish. The staff also gave us complementary red bean soup with sticky rice balls as dessert. All of the food was yummy and for a good price. Would come again, but probably not during...
