I recently dined at “蛤?! Huh Pot” and would like to provide feedback on my experience. The food quality was satisfactory, with a passable taste profile, initially encouraged by positive Google reviews. During my visit to Taiwan, I brought guests to experience the restaurant.
Upon arrival, we promptly placed an order, only to be informed by the hostess that they had run out of rice for the evening. Despite our understanding, a puzzling situation arose when a table that arrived later than us was served the same rice dish we had ordered. Seeking clarification, we questioned our hostess, who initially mentioned a pre-order by the neighboring table, despite our simultaneous orders. Compounding the situation, the restaurant later admitted to being out of stock for the Korean Soju we had requested. While I acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances can occur, the way the restaurant managed the situation left much to be desired.
The subsequent explanation provided by the staff was inconsistent, and the overall aftermath proved less than satisfactory. Given the premium prices charged by “蛤?! Huh Pot”, the inability to fulfill basic essentials such as rice and alcohol within a competitive market is concerning.
While accidents can happen, the professionalism displayed by the restaurant in managing and rectifying these issues fell below the expected standard for establishments in the area. Read moreMy husband and I came here on a Tuesday evening around 7:30pm. We were seated right away & were told there was only one table left for us even though it wasn’t packed. I’m guessing the other tables were reserved for other guests that haven’t arrived yet.
We ordered the original flavor clam broth, pork butt, udon, rice, and the vegetable combination. It was more than enough food for the both of us :).
The clams were very yummy & the meat wasn’t chewy at all. Even though we ordered the original broth I still thought the broth was flavorful and yummy! Their rice was also yummy- they add a hint of chicken oil to it. However, the udon noodles were like any other typical udon, nothing special.
The servers were very attentive so that was nice. The only reason I knocked down one star is because it is a bit pricey, however, I think it’s well worth it :).
Would definitely...
Read more14.05.2025 we came from Singapore together with my girlfriend on recommendations from our friends back in Singapore we tried it. If I can tell the boss it taste nice I would. It’s really 10/10 If not 100/10. We really really really loved it so much. The staff are really nice, they knew we are not from around here despite we can speak eloquent mandarin. They took their time to slowly introduced us to the menu and briefly explained which ones are more worth the money. As we are just 2 person the set menu although really worth we knew we cannot finish the food. So we ordered a la carte menu which end up cost more than set menu but it’s worth it as it taste so awesome we ordered another serving of clams. Hahaha. Ever since returning to Singapore whenever people asked me where I went in Taiwan and what I ate I always recommended...
