辣吉點正宗成都串串香 — Restaurant in Datong District

Touched down Taipei and reached the hotel in Taipei station around 930. Dropped off our bags and family and headed off to eat supper. Our first meal in Taiwan. Let’s go!

This was buzzing with local diners despite the late hour, which is a positive sign that we are going to the right place.

The lady boss was super helpful and recommended us what to order given it was our first time. And that’s why we had the roasted pigeon. It was super awesome, so flavorful and crispy and she recommended that I chew the bones too, which I did. The beef and pork slices were amazing too. It goes perfectly with the special soy sauce concoction that we made together with aromatic oil, vinegar, oyster sauce and garlic plus spring onions. But perhaps the dish that wowed us most was the seasonal winter vegetables that I’m not sure to now what it’s called in English so if you know, please let me know.

There were also two fridges of skewers that you can pick up and dunk in that amazing hotpot. Oh yes, I super loved the duck blood tofu in there too, can’t find in sg.

And lastly, washing things up with Taiwanese beer. All fatigue is eliminated after this meal! Highly recommended for the awesome food and...

Well, we can't speak Chinese but want to try something local so we picked this restaurant from the map. This restaurant is really busy, so if you need help you may need to come a bit early so the staff has time to take care of you. They guide us through the menu, show us how to order and cook.

The soup taste great, you can order for a plate of meat from the menu or select a skewer from the fridge. The price of the soup is expensive which is normal for this kind of restaurant.

Dined 2 night ago. Overrated. It is authentic sichuan mala. Is really oily and spicy. But price wise not worth it as the food is expensive and the environment is not comfortable. Staffs quite ok. Ordered鸳鸯锅 as soup base which has both mala oily soup and bone broth and the price is alrdy ntw 380 without any food in the set.
