Coco Brother — Restaurant in Datong District

Not really worth a 4.5 stars. We ordered 打拋豬肉、椒麻雞、泰式奶茶, and not one dish tasted right. I feel that they can put more effort on improving the flavor, rather than adding useless garnish. I wonder how they get so many reviews and stars. We dined around 6 o'clock, but half of the table is empty and they have more staff than customers. BTW, I had a mild diarrhea that night, but I can't be certain if it's caused by the spicy food or the milk tea. It’s really not worth the wait. There’s always a line but the food just ain’t worth the hype. It’s a bit pricy too for what you’re getting. The portion is pretty small especially for guys. The fried pepper chicken was a huge disappointment. The meat was tender but the flavor was off. The spicy stir-fried pork was ok but nothing amazing. You’re better off with other places in the area cause there are plenty of options. I’m sorry but this place definitely ain’t not...

The atmosphere here was great although the space between tables weren't very large. The sweet and sour fried chicken rice I ordered was mediocre, but I want to point out that the rice they use is actually Thailand rice, pretty good. The noodle was way too sour and my boyfriend ended up sweating. The sweet and sour french fries was just ordinary French fries with sauce bought from Costco.
