Our family just spent a 4 days - 3 nights trip in Taipei, and chose CityInn Branch II for the stay. I found the hotel and did the booking through Agoda with very reasonable price along with other benefits (free cancellation, didn't have to pay right away). Before arrival, the hotel messaged us to ask about our flight time, and was very thoughtful to inform us about the construction beforehand.
To be honest, I didn't expect anything here, but the experience was so nice and smooth that I promised myself to give a 5-star review here. Trust me, no one paid me for this, I was just very happy and pleased about this place. Also, while finding hotel online, I figured that reviews from previous customers are so important for others and it helped so much even if that was a good or bad one. Therefore, I am writing this and hope I can help others out there.
Check-in/Check-out were very very nice, friendly and FAST! The check-in was quickly, we didn't have to wait because there was no line. Check-out was even faster! I was shock because of how quick and easy the check-out was that I kept questioned the receptionist.
Clean, comfortable though not very spacious. The bed is just right for 2, soft, bed sheet is clean too. There are also a table and 2 chairs with a small fridge next to the bed. For clothing, there is no closet, however they give us many hangers to hang up the clothes, very nice and convenient. The bathroom was bigger than I expected. Standing shower, very clean, the hot water is stable and strong. SMART and WARM toilet. Daily cleaning service and free bottles were offered. I also love how convenient the light switches are here! Nice street view
It's a walkable location. 10-15 minutes walk to Taipei Main Station A few steps from convenient stores (7-Eleven, Family Mart) KFC and McDonalds are right opposite Breakfast and bubble teas are closed by too. Highly recommend nearby Sihai Soy Milk for breakfast and 50 Lan (50ๅต) bubble tea.
I didn't have any problems with safety here. Most of the time I am outside and when I come back, everything is the same.
In the hall way, I can hear sounds from other rooms quite clear sometimes. During the night, there may be traffic sounds from the street. That was not a problem for me, but if you do, be sure to take into consideration while booking for a city view room.
The A/C here is quite cold, especially in the hall way. In the room, you can adjust it, though it is often very cold.
Overall, I really love this place and I am so glad to have found this on Agoda. If I ever get back to Taipei anytime soon, I'll probably stay here...
Read moreWe decided to stay here due to a reccomndation from a friend. Things we are looking for in a place to stay in taipei are cleanliness, amenities, price and location.
Cleanliness: lobby is modern and playful, looks slightly small but it's Taipei not much different than others. Room size is small but also very clean and layout is well thought out. With a lack of a window it's would seem a little closed off except that the hotel lighted the room in a way that slightly negates it. We also came during a typhoon and afterwords the hotel looked spotless and provided excellent customer service(added plus as I don't expect any customer-service in asia) . Overall for cleanliness, it's a super plus.
Amenities: very close to American boutique hotels, fridge, free water and snacks in the room, lobby has microwave, big fridge for sharing, milk tea and lemon tea on tap, and coffee machine for everyone. When it was raining customer-service allowed us to borrow umbrellas. We put please clean our room magnets on the door and within a hour it was clean and taken care of(I only know this cus I left something and came back to see the cleaning in progress). Overall this is a beautiful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Taipei.
Cost: we expected to pay over 120usd a night but this place came out to around 99usd night. That being said we booked through adoda and it seems we were charged more per night than the hotels own rate. We had to check in early to avoid being stranded by the typhoon, and we paid 30 dollars less a night. Book directly with them (also the city Inn 3 is right next door and their lobby is a lot bigger dunno if the rooms are bigger too but just FYI might wanna check them out too as the service seemed the same)
Location: it's close to taipei main station where the metro rail and high speed rail both meet. It's great if u are the type to want to explore there's 2 close stations to the hotel and taxis always driving around. 15 mins to taipei 101 15 mins to some night markets.
So I've blabbered on for a while so I'll sum it up. If I come to taiwan again, I'll be staying at the city Inn hotels. Good price, great location, amazing customer service at a price that is very good considering anything cheaper or more expensive probably won't add more...
Read moreMy hubby and I were pleasantly surprised by our recent stay at CityInn Hotel Taipei Station Branch II. It was an exceptional experience that exceeded our expectations in many ways.
First and foremost, the affordability of the room was a delightful surprise. Despite the reasonable rates, we were greeted by exceptionally clean and well-maintained rooms and bathrooms. The level of cleanliness truly impressed us.
The hotel's location is a major highlight, as it is conveniently situated near Taipei Main Station, with easy access to popular fast-food chains like McDonald's and KFC, as well as various shopping malls. It made exploring the city incredibly convenient.
What truly stood out during our stay was the staff's attentiveness and politeness. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure that our stay was comfortable.
The in-room amenities were outstanding. We were provided with 2 bottles of water daily, along with a variety of complimentary items, such as slippers, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, tea, coffee, chips, toothbrush, comb, shaver, and even dental floss. These thoughtful touches made our stay all the more enjoyable.
The inclusion of Wi-Fi (it fluctuates sometimes but given the price of the room, I cannot complain), universal electrical outlets, and internet port was appreciated. A safe, a small fridge, and a TV were also provided, adding to the overall convenience and comfort of our stay.
In summary, we were genuinely surprised by the exceptional quality of this hotel, especially considering the affordable price. The combination of cleanliness, excellent location, attentive staff, and the abundance of provided amenities made our stay truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.
Special thanks to Jenny for the delicious cake and the staff's well wishes during my birthday. You made my 50th birthday all the...
