Cow On Fire, Argentine Beef — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

First Visit to this plce last night and I was impressed overall.

There are a selection of salads gratins and a few other items on the menu that you can order from the waiters. You also let them know what type of beef / Pork / Chicken you prefer.

Sometimes the beef is very rare, so if you do not care for that, let them know so they can give you something a little more cooked.

Pricing on a weekday evening was NTD699 +10%.

I thought That the quality of the food was OK, no complaints. The steak certainly tasted better than the crap they serve / served on Outback.

Oh and a word of warning, the beers are very large. I ordered a Heineken for NTD150 and it was a huge bottle, which was about a pint altogether.

The service was also very good and the waiters were plentiful and available.

Also a key point for ladies is that the cooking smells are very well controlled, so you do not come out of the restaurant smelling...

Definitely good quality everything for all you van eat and the price of about 693nt per person (including service charge). All the beef cuts are very good but be mindful, some are pretty fatty. You do have to wait a significant span for the meat carts to come around though, so you may be slowed down by that, but the portions each time are very big and all the protein is extremely filling! The highlight of the side dishes were: the creamy clam soup, mozzarella sticks, fried calamari rings, mozzarella stuffed meatballs, deep fried fish with lemon sauce, fruit ice punch, and the chocolate chip ice cream brownie dessert. The steak is all excellent just with salt and black pepper on it- super flavorful! The chicken was also excellent, being juicy with a crispy nice skin. Self serve wide variety of drinks, and toasted bread slices....

Overall, this place is great for South American grill meat lover. The steaks are perfectly medium rare which I love. They have four different steak cuts, two pork,two chicken and calamari options. Appetizers and salads are awesome as well except for the fried fish. The sauce on fish is a bit too sweet for “Argentina” flavor. Their salsa and pesto are awesome. Perfect match with the grilled meat. Loved the fruit bowl they serve in between each meat order served. Very refreshing! The dessert in the end is outstanding, classy!

The only thing is that the server often forgot our order and served the wrong cut. Except for that my experience...
