キャロットケーキでGoogle検索すると、必ず引っ掛かってくるお店がありました。それは高雄の「亀時間」さん。 高雄メトロの「美麗島」駅から歩いてすぐのところにありました。お店の入っている建物は鶴宮萬というホテルになっていて、その建物の1階にありました。 古い建物をリノベーションしていますが、面白いお店の形をしています。入り口の時計と硝子に書かれた「亀時間」という文字。ここからゆったりとした時間に切り替わるような雰囲気です。 ドアを開けるとお店の空間が広がっています。 スタッフさんの対応はちょっと・・・クールでした。 店内には静かに音楽が流れていて癒やされます。 手書きのメニューは中国語と英語で書いてありました。 メニューの数はそんなに多くないですが軽い食事やお茶メニュー。 お店のお料理やスイーツに使われている食材は高雄の農家さんが作ったものを使っているそう。 屏東で採れたかぼちゃで作ったポタージュ。優しい甘さが美味しかったです。 沖縄タコライスサラダセット。お野菜がたっぷり。そこにミートソースがかかっていました。 そしてデザートにはもちろんこちらのお店の看板メニューでもある キャロットケーキをオーダー。生地には人参と生姜が入っているという今までに食べたことがないタイプです。たっぷりのマスカルポーネチーズ。 私が好きなナッツゴロゴロでしっとりなタイプではなかったですが 生姜の香りがふわりとする初めてのタイプのキャロットケーキでした。 ひとつ残念だったのはカフェラテのサイズがお値段のわりにはものすごく小さかったこと。ケーキが大きいのでラテとのバランスが・・・。 暑い高雄なので、ドリンクの大きさ、もっと大きいのも選べたらいいなと思いました。 キャロットケーキ。宅配もできるようなので今度、取り寄せてみようと思います。

The best ginger carrot cake and Indian-flavoured milk tea I had ever tasted. The simply must-tried cuisines are beyond any human description or words.
