機關算盡太聰明 Our group of 8 visited the empty bar on a weekend, which must be frustrating to the owner. It has a nice view of sunset indeed. The owner kept pushing us to take a couch seat so we don’t occupy all the window seats that they can save for potential future customers (that never arrived). They kept reminding us of the seating time limit (but we werent going to sit forever and we left more than an hour early anyway). We offered to pay during ordering but the owner suggested we pay at the end. Our loose group left one at time and the leaving ones went to pay for their drink, but the owner kept pushing us to leave together and pay as a group.

Nice bar but the owner is so concerned about doing business HIS way that he is losing customers, in groups. I’d clearly speak against this place if friends suggest it again.

Was there last night with a friend and absolutely loved it. The best thing was the view. We sat in the bar area initially but space overlooking the Tamsui river opened up within 15 minutes and the staff moved us there. The bartender Ken was friendly and helpful and the staff were following COVID protocol to the T. We ordered BBQ tempura and it was QQ and tasty. We were near the kitchen window and I saw plates after plates of assorted BBQ meat being cooked, played and served. Finally, the music was dreamy and perfect. The view is all. Food is ok if you don’t mind having to order 10 different dishes per person just to get enough food for a light diner. They don’t sell beer and won’t let you drink any of you manage to find one you like from the bar downstairs. The do have sake and soju, priced per shot as if was a whole bottle. Oh, don’t order the “smoked green beans” they’re not edamame and they expect you to skew them by yourself or eat them...
