Jiufen Tofu Pudding — Restaurant in New Taipei

Delicious tofu pudding (dou hua) with taro balls and other tasty toppings! It’s one of the first shops on the right as you enter Jiufen old street. We had No.1 (with tapioca pearls and taro) and No.3 (sweet red beans and taro). We had them cold and they put ice on top. They were both absolutely delicious, would highly recommend!! Wish we could have it again. The tofu was soft and silky. The taro balls were perfectly chewy. The tapioca pearls were sweet and had a nice bite to them. The red beans were deliciously sweet and perfectly cooked. The ice on top just made it! You can choose to have it served hot or cold. This place is right off the main entrance of the walking area in Jiufen. It's one of the more spacious dessert shops since you can actually sit down here. We got the No. 3 with the ginger broth and I have to say this was amazing! I loved this dessert and wish we had this over in the states. Would consider this a must try if you ever find...
