SUN BERNO光焙若蔬食(光焙若新板傑仕堡門市) — Restaurant in New Taipei

The upsides: The food was cheap: I had a burger, a side of fries and a big glass of tea for NT236, which is about GBP7. This kind of pricing is unheard of where I live, with the burger alone going for about GBP 12. The restaurant was decently sized and comfortable.

The downsides: I had to wait around 30 minutes for my food. The cook was apologetic, which was great, but maybe someone could have come over to let me know it would take a while instead of me chasing them for my burger. The menu claims the food is plant-based. Even accepting the loose definition of the term, it seems odd to claim that milk and eggs are 'plant-based' when these ingredients clearly do not come from plants. Why can't you simply call yourself vegetarian? The food was okay. I've tasted better fried chicken burgers. The menu claims that the tea I ordered was some kind of lemon green tea. There was absolutely no lemon taste whatsoever in my drink. I was a bit annoyed that I had to clear my own plates. I normally wouldn't mind, but that seemed a bit much after waiting 30 minutes...

This is a no onion garlic vegetarian restaurant

Hummus pizza, they put hummus, cumin, and some curry on it. With some greens, radish? and beetroot. The dough is nice but I am not sure what I am having when all these things come together. However, it’s not too bad (that’s the weirdest part lol)

Pesto spaghetti tastes fresh, cooked well!

I like the 麻辣拌麵，it is spicy 🌶️ do not put all sauce in it! Not with many greens and no sides, but it tastes pretty strong and make me a bit addicted to it.

Truffle mushroom risotto, smelling good, has a rich flavor, texture is creamy. Everything is good, above average tonight!

It’s a pretty cool vegetarian restaurant. They have diverse cuisine such as pizza,risotto,naan,pasta and burgers etc.. And I think they were all good. I chose the Fettuccine with Cream Bacon and Parmesan cheese. It’s a bit dry but the sauce and the spaghetti was fresh and not too soft. But I was just a bit confused they didn’t say the burger would have the chips with it. And we also ordered the extra chips. Maybe they could write it down and make it clearer. And if you ordered a burger they will insist you to order a drink with it. You can’t order it individually but can order pasta or others individually. Well, I don’t really mind. But I just think they can probably improve the design...
