Don't this of this as the normal mochi that you have always eaten because this will surprise you! Visited Tamshui and came across this shop and decided to give it a try. I was quite adventurous initially wanted to try a few flavours but was worried might be too filling so I asked the staff about the mochi size and she recommended me trying one first before deciding to get more. She asked me to try thei lr signature peanut mochi and I ordered that. Preparation was quick took less than 5 minutes to be served and it was a plate of peanut and one big mochi right in the centre for diners to do it yourself. There were instructions on the wall to guide diners how to break the mochi and eat it and was quite easy. I was impressed with the quality of the mochi it was almost like never eaten before such mochi in my life. How to describe it as something a little cold and very soft, it's chewy but not like typical ones and not so dense so it doesn't feel heavy. So using the chopsticks to break into pieces and coating with the peanut and eating it, the experience was interesting but the mochi was definitely the highlight. I wanted to try the mochi with soup but guess I shouldn't as I wanted to save some space for other food. The peanut was also well portioned that it was just nice for the entire mochi with any leftovers. It's definitely good and highly...

I’m from Malaysia and I am making this review as a first time traveller to Taiwan. This is my honest review and I do not intend to cause any malicious harm to the owner of this store.

We’ve visited this place after doing some research and ordered the classic fresh milk peanut mochi. I was actually quite excited to try this dish as mochi can be considered as a Taiwanese delicacy but the taste did not reach my expectations.

The texture of the mochi is very gooey and sticky (which is understandable) but it’s not chewy when I tasted it. It tasted soft and bland which defeats the purpose of mochi as it is supposed to be made to have a chewy texture. The peanuts were too powdery so you don’t feel any crunch to it.

Perhaps I’m used to how Malaysians make their mochi but this is definitely not...

The peanut milk mochi was really nice! It’s like a big blob in the middle so you cut it and roll it with the peanuts outside (that will stick on), it melts in your mouth and it’s kinda cold so it tastes cooool. There’s usually a queue. We ordered the passion fruit fizzy drink too and it was ok. Would be great if they didn’t use one use cutleries but it seems like a norm here 😬 do not leave anything else behind they’ll tell you to take it with you and chuck it at the bins outside (we saw them telling off a group of people) the shop is on a very busy street and it’s not hard...
