Tamsui Yingzhuan Night Market — Local services in New Taipei

This used to be a fun area, but in recent years it has become increasingly run down. There are still some good and reasonably priced restaurants and tea shops here, but most places are fairly grubby. The government and neighborhood seems to do little to improve the general appearance, road safety or comfort of pedestrian visitors. The “Tamsui Yingzhuan Night Market” is a gathering place for vendors and shops mainly on Yingzhuan Road, an important road in downtown Tamsui. Due to the huge crowds of people at night, a night economy has developed and the night market has taken shape.
