Edited to add: no, we asked for a small (as in, a 10ml sample) of the house white because you couldn’t provide the white wine on your menu that we wanted and we weren’t sure of the quality of the house white. Your server couldn’t even tell us if the house white was dry or sweet. In the end, we ordered a few bottles of both white and red wine. We weren’t asking for a wine tasting experience. We were your only customers and we were happy to spend money on good wine, but you only had 2 options - a premium priced wine or the house white.
I think it’s interesting that you’ve ignored all the other points I made in my review and just focused on one thing, which you’ve misunderstood and responded by telling us to go to 7-11!
I suggest you need to rethink your customer service approach.
Food was nice, but sadly the service wasn’t.
It was a birthday dinner celebration with friends on a Friday night at 7pm. We were a table of 8 and the only ones there (red flag?) Very limited wine menu, only 3 reds and 3 whites, of which the one we wanted was out of stock!! If you only offer 3 wines, at least have them all! We asked to try a small sample of the house white…that caused a lot of trouble! Given we were the only customers, you’d think allowing us to try a tiny portion of wine prior to buying a few bottles wouldn’t be a problem but it was. We ordered several different tapas dishes to share, but despite confirming our order only 3 dishes arrived (between 8 people??) so we explained we’d ordered a few of each one. We had to wait for the remainder. They were tasty. Paella was not nice. We then were told the restaurant was closing at 9pm, so we had to finish our food. The staff sat in the empty restaurant on the tables next to us with their bike helmets on, scrolling on their phones, waiting for us to leave.

Read moreSpanish-French style bistro. Overall impression: it wasn’t as interesting an experience as I had hope for. All the dishes we had were nicely presented. Flavorful creamy textured tomato soup. Patatas bravas with Aioli, so not really bravas! This was topped by a very watery poached egg. The egg did not add to what was otherwise a nice dish. The Spanish Tortilla was made with chunks of boiled potato filling. Nicely done! I was hoping the potato dishes would be served with Spanish romesco sauce since it complements the potato so well, but it was not to be. Shrimp in garlic/olive oil had a lovely aroma but the taste and texture did not live up to expectations. Slices of baguette served with the lunch were lightly toasted until crisp. I would have preferred freshly cut bread to mop up the sauces. Ambience is very nice with a cozy feeling. Service was prompt and friendly. Price was a bit on the high...
Read moreI'm from Europe and grew in Spain and France . We got the mussels , two kinds of paella and the calamari. I didn't feel like eating Spanish food but more Taiwanese food inspired by Spanish cuisine . The plates are too salted , it is hiding the flavour of the plates . The breading around the calamari isn't the proper way , it tastes like fried chicken. Mussels were not the proper ones, The chorizo didn't taste like it ( overcooked? ) All of the prices are too high, if it is because of the prices of the ingredients please improve your cooking to let the customer enjoy the high quality, for our case we only tasted the salt . It wasn't bad , but overpriced and comparable to...
