Tried their grilled eel on rice 🤩🤩🤩 my new found favourite!!! It’s been challenging to find a grilled eel place around this neighbourhood, and I’m so glad that I stumbled across Ootaya! It was the perfect thickness and texture! Probably should have asked for more rice…but oh well. The dessert was also very tasty! I especially enjoyed the warabi mochi with syrup (didn’t care much for the ice cream).

The interior is a wee bit dark (?). Could be because of the lighting or fixtures…you can tell the restaurant has seen some years, so maybe it’s time to uplift/revamp the restaurant’s interior to appeal to...

Good choice of Japanese food. Well balanced sets. Price is moderate around 350-450 NTD per set. Service is good and quick. Space is a bit crowded, but this is normal for Taipei. The amount of food is enough, for many people it will be no space for extra items after the full set. For this floor of Breeze with many restaurants together, this may be the most affordable...
