昭日堂燒肉 — Restaurant in Taichung

The building and interior of the restaurant were elegant and impressive. This restaurant had yakiniku (BBQ) on the first floor and hot pot on the second floor.

We ordered premium meat set for 2 and classic kingdoms wagyu set for 2. The staff grilled the beef and seafood for you professionally. Outstanding service.

The beef tongue salad was awesome! Rainbow slush was pretty but it tasted almost the same — only the colors were different.

The matsusaka pork jowl had too strong of a porky smell. We gave feedback about the porky smell, and the staff kindly replaced it with a fresh serving of Matsusaka pork. It tasted much better.

The dessert was nice. Especially the brown sugar bubble with soybean pudding and flaky layered egg tart.

However, the dining time was limited to two hours. If you took your time, you might have felt rushed when it came to dessert, as the staff started clearing...

Hot Pot / Yakiniku Restaurant: Summary (Hot Pot Area) - Beautiful location, decent value in terms of quantity to price, but average food quality and taste.

The Pros: the interior design and decoration is stunning, the meal quantity is adequate, and each set includes a buffet area for self-serve hot pot ingredients, ice cream and drinks. The service staff is also efficient and the prices are reasonable.

The Cons: the meats are low on taste because they are cut too thin. There are not enough side options that are typical for hot pots (egg dumplings, Udon noodles, etc...). The service staff seems to be hurrying you to...

I've been coming for many many years, probably 8 years now, and the first time, i remembered someone who work here, 張郁慧 is so super sweet and friendly, also, very professional, went out of her way to cook the seafood for us, even its not a service that's included with that ordering, also her cooking skill is da bomb, so perfect, made the food here event better, highly recommended, will come back for sure, oh the new chocolate wagyu is YUM, also right now they have 9 years promotion,...
