채家네 Chae’s BBQ House 蔡家韓國烤肉專門店 — Restaurant in Taichung

I have mixed feelings about this place as it needs some revamping of priorities and settings. There is only one waiter (a very efficient and friendly one who speaks excellent English), so it takes time to get everything to the table. There's no refill of the side dishes, the rice dumplings are bland and expensive, the pork is thin and ordinary, but the beef pretty tasty. The server grilled everything perfectly but the 2 other dishes haven't arrived by the time we finished the main courses (1 hour) so we had to cancel them. There were plenty of fresh and delicious lettuce leaves to wrap up the meat, and the sauces provided...

Just another Taichung dissapointment. Service ok. Price value not the best. The "draft Asahi" I ordered was either a very old keg, or only the glass was Asahi, not the beer. The kimchi stew, a watery, lo taste, (no garlic ? ) excuse for what a rich savory kimchi stew should be. Side dishes lacking in flavor and number of options. Pork was good, Steak ok, Chicken not bad. We paid 2,789for two. I will admit the portions were generous, but when you really dont care about eating it then whats the point....

Best BBQ restaurant in Taichung

I have been here a few times now, the food, drink and service is always very high quality. The cuts of meat are fantastic and the drinks are great aswell. The staff are always super friendly and knowledgeable and you always get a personal service that you do not get at other BBQ restaurants.
