Still the best Szechuan-style Spicy Hotpot in Taichung in my opinion. The flavor is more authentic as opposed to other brands which tend to localize the flavor by dropping the spicy level or adding less oil to make it more "healthy". It's not as spicy as the actual ones in China but the punch is there.

Quality food at that price, while some other popular brands along Gongyi Road tend to emphasize on the decor and really skimp on the quality and quantity of food. Free-flow of duck's blood and tofu, as with the others. Hotpot comes with a spicy cellophane noodles appetizer, which is more sour than spicy but really kickstarts the meal! Complimentary shaved ice for desserts to. Talk about a complete meal!

Great place to go to for some mala hotpot. The hotpot isn’t too spicy and the service is superb. We brought our baby girl in a stroller and the staff helped carry the stroller to the second floor where we are seated. There are 10 of us and the seatings on the ground floor is only good for 4 so we had no choice but to be seated on the second floor. They didn’t have an elevator but thankfully they helped with the stroller up and down...

Love their hot pot soup base, unlimited ya-xue (duck blood) and tau-kua (pressed tofu) supply, freshness of the ingredient (beef, pork, seafood). Last but not least, the sour plum soup after the meal was fantastic...
