Hamilton Hotel — Hotel in Taichung

The staff here is really friendly. She gave us some good eating options and places to visit since we arrived here 2 hours ahead of check in time, after we put our luggage bags in a separate place on the 1st floor. But the room wasn't that great. The room was big with ports that allowed other chargers to be used, with a great view which you can see with cool sunsets if you're lucky. However, the shower room was the biggest disappointment. Toothbrush and toothpaste, nothing was provided at all. Toilet flush was confusing to use since it flushed so slow, and worst of all, the shower didn't have any shower curtains in the bath, making it difficult not to get water on the floors. Sorry, I had to type these in English. I have stayed here for 15 days during quarantine. During those days, I had to work from 9pm at night to the next morning 6am. And beside not able to go out, the hotel has all the essential and services within a Line message to the hotel butler. I had made numerous requests for another box of water, coffee and tea bags. The hotel butler answered promptly with great manner. The room I had was a single king size with a large window. The hotel is really old, so the rooms were moldy. Nothing like the pictures. The positive is the location, a 15-minute walk from the Luohe night market.We had problems with the room keys every time we wanted to get inside, which made us go back again and again to the entrance. Also, the bathroom is so old that as soon as I wanted to shower, the entire floor got wet. We asked for cleaning of the room, and they only cleaned the floor in the bathroom; they never did the beds.
