Karuizawa Gongyi store — Restaurant in Taichung

I recently visited again, and the experience was just as great as the first time I came in 2017. Everything is still up to the high standard. The service is excellent, and the ambience is grand, clean, yet cozy. It’s as lively as I remember—always packed—but the staff manage the queue very efficiently.

From start to finish, the service runs smoothly: getting seated, ordering via QR code, enjoying the food, and having staff check in to ensure everything is okay. The whole experience feels seamless.

The quality of the meat and vegetables is fresh, clean, and worth the price. Normally, I don’t order chicken when having hotpot, but I really enjoyed it here. A friend from Taichung introduced me to it on my first visit, and I’ve rarely seen other places offer it.

If you want to enjoy your hotpot in a cozy and beautiful interior, this is the place. On top of that, they offer various flavors with generous foods and meat included. We went as a group of 3 and order Squid broth, Japanese broth and Tomyum broth and they are all deliciously tasty. Average price is around 350 without adding extra meat or hotpot ingredients. The best hotpot restaurant we visited in Taiwan! The exterior and interior of the restaurant were modern, elegant and luxurious. We made a booking beforehand and dined in as a pax of 9–we were seated in a private dining room.

I had the sukiyaki soup and got to try some other soups, all of which were nice! If i were to come back, I think I will choose the Japanese broth. They use premium beef and high quality ingredients! At the end of the meal, each of us got a free pineapple smoothie.
