Le Rouge — Restaurant in Taichung

I had the Smoke Burger last night and had severe diarrhea during the night. I think it might be related to the special type of oil used since it had a very pronounce smell. I think the consumer who eats here should be cautious and notified others if they develop any symptoms after ingesting the burger.

After the ridiculous response from the proprietor of this restaurant stating that I am somehow responsible because of my health that I became sick and that I should be checked by a physician in regards to the state of my health!

I must let it be known that I have eaten at two other burger restaurant 主x 廚房，漢堡X in the two days prior to my visit to Le Rouge and had absolutely no negative symptoms at all. I felt great after eating there! If you doubt the veracity of my statement you may check my reviews of those two establishments to verify.

I suggest this restaurant re-examined it’s burger and throw away the items that made me sick so it does not cause the extreme distress it caused me to befell another diner!

I was sick with diarrhea the whole entire day because of this one burger and was unable to even unable to go outside my apartment for an entire day. I do not know how one burger could be so toxic that it made a healthy adult male be sick for another day. As far as their statements saying there was other diners who ate the same item and was FINE. I would be extremely skeptical of that since the restaurant was obviously entirely empty and I have never seen this place busy with no more than one table. Now I might...

Update: They remain an excellent choice in their new location and a wider range of choices.

The Burgers remain a solid choice, especially now that they are char broiled.

The squid appetizer is exquisitely delicious, and the mushroom risotto and pappardelle pasta are excellent.

The high quality service, as well as the spacious and nicely decorated interior all add up to a great experience.

The only cons are the lack of parking options nearby, and the tab can get a bit high with just a few extra sides.

I had an amazing lunch in Le Rouge. The exterior of the building is sensational, having a brickhouse in Taiwan is quite unique and easy to spot. The atmosphere and the lightning inside the restaurant was stellar, as well as the service. My girlfriend and I ordered the squid with garlic and olives as a starter and a burger each. The place seems to be famous for the burgers and they were great, both the Smoking Gun and the Bourbon Bacon Jam. The meat is very juicy, the buns crispy and the other ingredients were a great pairing to it. The starter was also surprisingly very delicious, and dipping the sauce was pure pleasure.
