NikuNiku — Restaurant in Taichung

A wonderful restaurant with nice choice of meats and customer service. There’s also parking available at the back of the restaurant.

However, I just wish the restaurant clearly stated their policy on allowing pets on the front door or window. Approximately ten dogs were in the restaurant at one time. The loud shriek barking did not make the eating experience positive and comfortable. I love dogs and I especially support service dogs, but the amount of pets in the restaurant was a bit too much.

We went here for a tuesday afternoon lunch. Service was good, and the ambience was clean and pleasant.

Ordered the set for 2 for TWD 1530. Each dish was delicous and juicy. Personally my favourite was the sliced pork belly which was fat and tasty. Waitress even helped us change the bbq grille midway through our meal.

Set menus only. Excellent Matsusaka pork and chicken thigh. Pork rib and beef short rib were lackluster. Complimentary chicken soup was fantastic. Good service; no English menu but they spoke Japanese and English. Cons: uncomfortable Japanese-style wood floor seating (must remove shoes) with no cushions (should've asked for booth seating), blaring music. Be aware that they allow dogs inside to sit...
