One of the worst restaurants I've ever dined at. The whole place stinks of incompetence and poor management. I anticipate this place will shut down permanently very soon as there is no way such an inept restaurant can be making any kind of profit. Where to begin? We ordered the set meal for two. The first part of the meal (the curry) arrived 25 minutes after ordering. The pork was chewy and so small that I thought we had accidentally been given the kids menu.
After that we waited... And waited... And waited. After 20 minutes of nothing happening at all, we felt something was up. We had only received 1 dish so far out of 7. I went to the counter to try and find a staff member who could help and asked could we at least have our Calpis Soda drinks while we wait? She looked at our menu and then looked behind her and expressed surprise that our order number wasn't pinned to the counter. One of the staff forgot to put it up. So if we didn't speak out we would NEVER have gotten our food. Who on earth is running this circus? Everyone in the restaurant business knows you always serve the drinks first as they are the fastest things to prepare. Not here. It took 40 minutes to get our sodas.
I wish that was all that was wrong. While I was asking could we have our drinks, a pissed off looking, sour faced chef shouted through the window at me in Chinese "What do want?" Excuse me? Is this Hell's kitchen? Are you chef Gordon Ramsay? Are you some expert chef who is preparing a masterpiece? No, you are not. You work in a Japanese fast food restaurant and there is nothing "fast" about your cooking. Don't be angry with the customers because you are overworked or half drunk. Blame your management. Besides , I wasn't even talking to him but he had to get involved for some reason.
I'd like to say that all the food tasted great but it didn't. It was awful. The ramen tasted worse than packet ramen from a PX mart. I have sympathy for the waitresses who are clearly overworked and understaffed. They were running about so much that they should wear roller skates instead of shoes. It's easier to catch 151 Pokémon than it is to catch one of these elusive waitresses who are running about figuratively (although it wouldn't surprise me if it was literally too) putting out fires. I'd love my money and my time back....
Read moreI feel bad for the staff because they are clearly understaffed, but they did their best to accommodate everyone’s orders. Despite their efforts, there were extreme wait times between dishes. We received the curry first, about 20 minutes after ordering. The pork katsu tasted frozen and chewy. This place is obviously struggling with understaffing. We've been waiting for more than 20 minutes for just drinks. Later we saw it took 2 seconds for the staff to pour and serve it, so what’s with the...
Read moreJapanese Restaurant - This chain is known for their Fried Dumplings (Gyoza), and this location inside the Sogo Mall prepares them well. The Seafood Fried Noodles and Ramen Soup Noodles were acceptable, and the side dishes were common and average in taste (even though the fried chicken had too much breading). The prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality...
