Yakiniku SHOJO — Restaurant in Taichung

Couldn’t reserve a table at the more well-known yakiniku spots in Taichung, found this place on a whim after seeing its overwhelmingly positive reviews. Let me preface that this place deserves every single one of its stars.

We came here on a Saturday night, and were able to reserve a table on the day of. The menu options are plenty, they have full sets and some platter options as well. We opted to doing a la carte since the total price for separate items vs the sets are the same. The grill uses real charcoal, and they change out the grate and add charcoal accordingly throughout the meal. The ventilation at the table is also great, so our clothes didn’t smell like barbecue after the meal. The servers will also offer to help grill some items to maximize their quality. They are really professional, skilled, and are incredibly friendly as well!

The meat quality itself is superb! Some highlights were the thick-cut beef tongue, which was grilled to perfect medium rare and melts in your mouth, as well as the A5 wagyu thick cut, which had beautiful marbling, a perfect symphony of flavour, juiciness and fattiness. Did I mention they have a full pot of complimentary authentic chicken soup at every table? I had five bowls myself!

非常棒的一間日式燒肉店，店員非常熱情，會一直幫你換烤網。讓你自己烤的時候不會烤焦，也不會不同肉盤的調味互相影響。 在等待餐點的空檔，可以喝免費提供的雞湯暖暖胃，舒服!! 蔥花、洋蔥、蒜泥跟燒肉醬，也都會在餐前上好，用完都可以再要，配料也非常新鮮。 整體的氣氛很像在日本，店內的音樂非常熱血，但有時候會無法好好的跟朋友聊天，不過情緒會整個 high 起來。 生日到 shojo 的時候，也有特別的蛋糕，這裡就不爆雷了，留給大家一點驚喜 。不過，記得當天生日到 shojo 才有哦!! 廁所有非常貼心的小物，例如嗽口水，牙線，都可以讓客人打理一切，小細節做的滿好的。

白飯配肉非常的棒，如果早點到，可以點限量牛丼飯，讚!! 是早鳥的象徵。 雞松阪，非常好吃，脆脆QQ 的口感，顛覆了我對雞肉的想像，必點!!!

預算夠的話，可以請店員介紹當下的和牛，讚讚!!! 向上店附近比較不好停車，但通常來 shojo 一定要來3杯以上的啤酒，「喝酒不開車，開車不喝酒」，沒停車位，算不上問題。店員都會很熱心的幫你叫計程車，不用擔心。 最後，記得吃 shojo 的時候，一定一定要訂位，除了電話訂位外，近期發現，google map 上也有配合 inline 的服務，五星推推推!!
