Totally worth the wait. I got the tiramisu flavor and kept saying “so good” with every bite… then kept talking about how good it was for hours. The wrap was soft and chewy, and the creamy ice cream base made it so rich and smooth than the usual traditional icy ice cream. The flavor was like vanilla with a light boozy note.

Fresh cilantro and candied nuts added a crisp contrast, not sticky at all. Every bite was creamy, chewy, and crunchy all at once. Just amazing.🤩

Juan Juan Village, located in the Nanji Chang Night Market, is a stall that specializes in peanut roll ice cream. The line of waiting customers at the front is a common sight, with an average wait time of about 10 to 15 minutes, but it's well worth it. Today, I decided to try their Tiramisu Peanut Roll Ice Cream.

The combination of peanut roll with tiramisu is quite novel; it's actually my first time seeing such a pairing. The soft wrapper encases a rich tiramisu ice cream, complemented by a generous amount of peanut powder, creating a flavor profile that is both rich and layered. Surprisingly, the stall adds a few sprigs of fresh cilantro—a seemingly mismatched combination that turns out to be unexpectedly harmonious. The refreshing and mildly pungent taste of cilantro perfectly balances the sweetness and alcoholic notes of the tiramisu, making the overall flavor more refreshing without being cloying. Every bite brings together the aroma of roasted peanuts, the smoothness of the ice cream, and the unique scent of cilantro, forming a delightful and unique culinary experience.

The block of Tiramisu, as they have warned, gets stronger in flavor as you eat it. Each subsequent bite feels better and for me, it never really feels enough (maybe it's the sweet tooth). This is a must try.

Their other flavors are awesome too. They provide a wide variety of ice cream flavors subjected to availability.
