2nd visit. My personal favorite is the beef teppanyaki set. Every course in the set is really tasty and freshly presented. The traditional Japanese lunch set is not as good, and there are definitely much better alternatives out there.

IMHO, given this restaurant’s average services, atmosphere, presentations, and creativeness, the asked price for the set and alacarte menu is really overpriced.

When I say average service it is relative to the high priced asked. One example of an average service and ingredient are: They don’t personally prepare your napkins onto your lap after you get seated. The clams in the miso soup have residue sands, we have experienced multiple soups with sands in the clams.

Often people go eat there only when they have discount vouchers or when carrying a higher...

[Only Teppanyaki Review] I was surprised by how big this restaurant is! They separate out to sections of sushi, Yakitori, Shabu shabu, a la carte and Teppanyaki. We ordered the $2200TWD teppanyaki seafood set today. The lobster was perfectly cooked to juiciness topped with an egg yolk sauce. The vegetables and abalone/oysters were tasty but I did not enjoy my fish as much. Felt like it was a bit bland compared to everything else prior. The fried rice was interesting with fish and vegetable but again felt a little under seasoned. We had to request a bit of the stir fried garlic to help enhance the taste. I would still prefer going to Robin’s at The Regent but I would definitely love to come back to try their other...

Good and authentic Japanese food in Taipei. The sashimi is in good quality and well prepared. The grill is fresh and large portion. The umami of the soup is superb, but subtle. The last rice bowl is grilled eel rice, served when we are already full. The outlook was plain soaked with few sauce. However the humble style eel made my stomach hungering for food again. Don’t be affected by the ratings from people who just only know street foods. These are totally different. It is not fair to put these two styles on...
