This place was really good-some of the best ramen I’ve ever had, and I’ve visited Japan before. Lots of customizations you could make to the ramen, including how chewy you wanted the noodles, what type of/extra meat, what kind broth, etc.
I ordered my noodles extra chewy, added an egg, and got the large portion, with my ramen being one with spicy broth. The pork was tender and juicy, the minced meat was super flavor and gave some fun texture to the dish, the scallions were very fresh and brought some brightness to an otherwise heavy dish. Ramen egg was jammy and flavorful, noodles were well done. The portion was really filling-definitely felt as if I’d got my money’s worth.
The service was also really good-you can get a refill of soup for free, the servers were all willing to help me order and give me recommendations, and after the meal, asked me if I was satisfied and all seemed genuinely happy when I said I enjoyed it.
Ambience is really nice, they play Japanese music and the restaurant is decorated nicely. Definitely recommend trying...
Read moreI came on sunday evening, there are quite a queue but not that long. Ordered the shin tonkatsu ramen and seafood ramen. The shin tonkatsu ramen taste good but just ordinary, the good thing is the minced pork, it taste delicious. The pork slices are thick. I personally really liked the seafood ramen, the broth is thick and you can really taste the shrimp aroma. Because it’s a dipping ramen, the soup and noodle will get cold. You can ask them to warm the soup and even add the soup. Great restaurant ambience and great service. My only suggestion is please torch the meat not literally in front of the guest. It was a great show at first but the longer you sit there, the smoke feels too thick. I kinda lost my appetite in the middle but the ramen’s good so i...
Read moreThere is usually a bit of a queue in front of the store - but trust me when I say that it's worth the wait. Out of the competition in the area this is definitely one of the better options for eating Ramen. Noodles and broth were on point, and the meat is the best of its kind I've had in Taiwan so far. But of course you shouldn't take only my word for it: My Japanese friend attested, that the dish was 'better than most' in Taiwan. The location has a pretty interesting, busy but also relaxed atmosphere, since you basically sit around the open kitchen watching the chefs do their thing and hand you the food directly over the counter. Together with the affordable price, I now understand the hype...
