A beautiful spot worth checking out—both the museum and the restaurant! I recently visited and had a lovely experience. The restaurant is located inside the museum, and it offers casual French cuisine at a relatively affordable price, especially considering the ambiance and setting. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and thoughtfully plated. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something a little special without being overly formal or expensive.
This place is definitely ideal for couples. You can plan an afternoon to explore the exhibition at the museum and then head to dinner right after. It creates a perfect date itinerary: culture followed by a cozy meal. Just a headsup the museum closes at 5:30 PM, and my dinner reservation was at 6:00 PM(the earliest) That small gap between closing time and dinner meant there was nowhere to hang out while waiting. Luckily, the restaurant was kind enough to let us in a bit early, which was very much appreciated.
The overall vibe is peaceful and elegant, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. I’d absolutely recommend this place, especially if you’re visiting the museum. I’d love to come back next time there’s a...
Read moreBonami Taipei presents itself with charm and much of the menu delivers flavours that are both pleasing and thoughtfully composed.
Yet, a few dishes fell short of their promise. The Coq Au Vin, a French classic, lacked the depth of slow cooking and its red wine sauce tasted flat, missing the velvety richness one hopes for. The artichoke was intriguing but verged on overripe, muting its freshness. The duck rillette, meanwhile, leaned too heavily on black pepper, overshadowing the delicate character of the duck itself. Still, there is merit in the kitchen’s ambition, and with greater refinement these dishes could truly reflect the elegance the restaurant aspires to.
The entrance also feels slightly awkward, as one has to walk past a café-style barista counter before reaching the restaurant, with the signage tucked behind it, which slightly diminishes the welcoming presence.
Overall, a decent dining experience with potential, but refinement is needed both in food and presentation for it to truly shine. Worth a visit, but still some way from delivering the finesse...

My favorite Duck Rillette had a bit too much rosemary. While still delicious, I think it could be improved. I loved the ambiance and atmosphere; it was comfortable, relaxed,...
