4/17/2025: Still the best tacos in Taiwan (even after trying some newer joints more recently). I've eaten their tacos (and taco bowls) probably at least 20 times in the past year and a half, either dining in, takeout or ordering via Uber Eats, and my favorite tacos are the Carne Asada and Beef Birria, but the Chorizo and Carnitas are good as well. Love Masa! 9/25/2024: Thank you Masa. Delicious as always! 9/12/2024: Take-out this time, and still delicious. My favorites are the carne asada and birria tacos, with the chorizo being a close second. 9/9/2024: Having been here numerous times (take-out via Uber, take-out in person, and dining in) it's safe to say this is my favorite taco joint in Taiwan. I have literally tried them all at this point, from low-end to high-end, and while Mexican/Latino cuisine here will never reach the level one is used to in their respective countries or even in the US/Europe, this is really the best I've found here in Taiwan in terms of authenticity along with price point and portion. I should note that I've only had their tacos and taco bowls, and they are excellent. 1/18/2024: 3rd time eating at Masa-Yongchun but 1st time dining in instead of taking out.
Their Beef Birria Taco Bowl in particular is delicious and portion size is perfect. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty.
Most importantly though, it's the spices and flavor (for everything: meat, guacamole, refried beans, garnishments/toppings etc) that win me over. The taste is authentic and is not sweetened or toned-down or modified for the Taiwanese palate, which is so rare here and very much appreciated. 12/7/2023: I've only tried the Yongchun Masa location but this is by far the best taco restaurant I've found in Taiwan.
Also, the portion is not your average tiny Taiwanese size and I was completely full after eating just the carnitas taco bowl. I saved the 3 separate tacos (birria, chorizo, carne asada) later for dinner, and they were excellent as well.
It's extremely difficult to find authentic Mexican or even Tex-Mex cuisine here in Taiwan, especially well-spiced with fresh ingredients, so I'm glad...
Read moreAfter being recommended and taken to the Song Shan branch a couple of weeks ago by an American colleague, I had a wonderful experience and the tacos were great. I have been raving on to my wife and taken her this afternoon. What a let down, the tacos were super oily that both of us need our shorts dry cleaned, because of how oily the food was, it was dripping. Don't get me wrong the fillings are just ok, but I still taste oil in my mouth now. That's not how I know tacos... plus are onion rings supposed to be so crunchy and oily? Not a...
Read moreProper. One of the rare sand witch spellbound moments I haven’t had in years (since Mirchi in Fremont California).
I wasn’t even hungry, but I took one bite & couldn’t stop myself; immediately, appetite = irrelevant. It wasn’t just the flavor, but the FEELING - isn’t worth trying to describe in words.. but if you haven’t been, just try it. Lol.
I’m probably over hyping it too, so honestly, don’t take my word. Expect disappointment.

Maybe I’ll remember to take pics before my first bite...
