Went here early at around 8AM on a Saturday - got the Brown sugar milk latte, Honey cinnamon coffee latte, cinnamon roll, yogurt with granola, and Nutella marshmallow toast.
Had no problem getting a table, menu is in both Chinese and English, items came out nice and fast, staff was nice. Note: they didn't take credit cards - cash or phone only.
Latte's were well executed - the brown sugar milk one had an interesting layer of frothed milk which they dusted with brown sugar and then torched, producing a nice layer of caramelized sugar (like a creme brulee top). I broke it up and stirred it into the drink, which was fun and quite enjoyable, unexpected, and interesting. The sweetness wasn't quite enough for me, so I asked for sugar and they gave me freshly melted sugar syrup in a little pitcher - very nice - poured it in, sweetened the milk perfectly and it integrated wonderfully since it was melted already.
The cinnamon honey coffee was also well done, with wonderful froth, well poured into a perfect heart. The flavors there were mild, the cinnamon didn't come through very strong, but it was still enjoyable.
They were served in nice big cups, brought to the table, at the right temperature, enjoyable straight away.
The cinnamon bun is one of their specialities, they make them there apparently, and it was very nice. It didn't have a traditional white sugar icing applied after baking. Instead they just relied on the sugar caramelization to "self-frost" them, with some walnuts added. Texture was lovely, delicious, nice and warm, and sticky (like a good cinnamon bun should be). Very enjoyable. Served on a little plate on its own, with fork and knife.
The yogurt and granola was served in a healthy sized glass cup with spoon, medium fat yogurt, unflavored, nice tang, and topped with nice little granola and blueberries. I stirred it up, no issues there - good little protein pot if that's what you want. Cute.
The Nutella marshmallow toast ("wrappini") was curious - it was two thin white bread slices formed into a sandwich with the fillings and then panini press toasted. The result was a very flat, warm, sandwich - served in a wax paper pouch. Biting into it was a sticky experience from the Nutella and marshmallow, and the bread sort of tore in unexpected places, creating a bit of a mess. Ended up taking it out of the pouch and fork and knifing it on a plate, which worked much better. It was sweet and enjoyable, but not sure I would get it again. A bit one note in terms of texture - wanted for a bit of crunch. Maybe go for a crustier toast, nuts, or something?
All in all, it was an enjoyable breakfast - would go back to try more items....
Read moreI do not have words to describe how good this place is.
First, the cinnamon roll (120 TND) is just legendary. As you can see in their menu, it is available on a limited basis. It is SO GOOD, probably the best I have had in my entire life (and I have tried a lot). Also the size is huge, so if you are not too hungry you can probably share it in 2.
The coffee is really good too. We had a cappuccino and a light coffee latte (80 TND each), and they were really well made. We had the "medium" option, which is really big, so we weren't even able to finish them. I don't want to think how big the "large" option is.
I wanted to try something else than the cinnamon roll and I had the cheese beef croissant (75 TND). It was really good, way better than expected. The cheese seems to be cheddar, and the beef is actually sliced beef, no ham. Unexpected but really good flavor and quality.
The service is fast, and the place is really cozy although you can do take-away too if you need to go. Amazing place to try during your...
Read morethe bag was heavy so place at the last table inside the cafe, in the meanwhile, there’s only 1 couple in front about to order.
one of the couple didn’t say anything when saw a bag being placed. then the cashier started saying “NO NO!” with a little higher stress in her tone of voice after the other person in the couple about to finish ordering.
the points is maybe nothing wrong about other customers, but.. no sign in any language on the table to state clearly allowing or not allowing to leave belonging on the table or for how long the listener felt no politeness of the lady cashier when saying “NO NO!” with the pointy finger
so, walked out as no table inside(outside was too cold). then the cashier said “sorry”, at least still could think a little, even though not sure if she know her word&voice when saying “NO NO!”. hope can be improved...
