It’s higher quality of serving the beef noodle. I had ordered their premium beef noodle which provided few method of eating it.
As explained: first need to taste the beef soup original favorite. Then put 2-3 spoon of beef sauce to the soup, it bring you another taste of the soup which they highly recommended. If you need need stronger taste, you can put extra few spoon but not all which will make the soup more salty. Another way is bring up some noodle to the small bowl, put some beef sauce and mix evenly. Take some beef and eat together. I personally like this method cause its taste good. They had provided 2 chilies sauces which is light and strong. Beware on the strong which is really hot and spicy. The beef sauce originally have some spicy taste, after I put a small tea spoon of the strong chilies sauce to the small bowl with the noodle and sauce, it’s delicious. Love it.
Overall the food is not bad. In my photo I had order a side dishes which is fries taufu with sauce. Taste is ok.
The price is not cheap, 1 bowl of this premium noodle is TWD 450. Can’t compare it to those traditional beef noodle cause they prepare it differently. And with Aircond environment. But I personally still think it’s abit over price.

Read moreCame across this shop when trying to find a place to eat in the area. The shop is one of the must visits in Taipei & have been on the Michelin list for years. The shop opens for 2 meal times and for lunch, it opens only until 2.30PM. Arrived there just around 1.30PM and had to get a number for queue. The number printer was located just by the door, so need to get the number by ourselves & wait until our number is shown on the board. Since it was already late for lunch, we waited for 15 minutes. The shop itself is not big, and the kitchen is located by the entrance. So we can witness the hustle & bustle of the kitchen which are led by 3 wonderful ladies. As for the food, we decided to go with the staple, Beef Noodle. They have 2 sizes, small & large. The Beef Noodle came with thick & chewy noodles, rather similar to udon. I loved that it was the bouncy textured type. The broth was clear yet intense with meaty & umami taste. I also add a bit of chili oil to enhance the overall flavor. The chili oil that they have surely packed a punch, so be careful when adding it to your dish. As for the beef, it was so tender & juicy. It has a slight spice flavor which goes so well with the overall dish. Apart from the food, the team was welcoming & very attentive which are definitely plus points. This shop is cash only, so be prepared when...
Read moreThe walk from Ti Hwa Hotel to Niu Dian Beef Noodles (牛店) was about 10 minutes by foot. That’s where we RVed M for our dinner this evening. As you can see from the exterior of Niu Dian Beef Noodles (牛店) in Taipei, its entrance is actually frosted, leaving a hint of mystery to new visitors like us. There are no waiting staff outside. The only way to gain entry is to get a queue ticket dispensed from the machine at its entrance.
The other thing that you may wish to note is that they are opened at 2 timings daily (closed on Mondays):
11:30am to 2pm 5pm to 7pm
This means that the “first seating” would be at 11:30am and 5pm respectively. We arrived at about 5:10pm and everyone were in for the “first seating”. Hence, after getting our queue tickets, we were still only able to enter when people from the “first seating” exited from about 5:35pm onwards. So if you arrive at the opening hour, get your queue tickets and go do shopping in the vicinity and your table should be ready about 30 minutes from the opening timeslot. (i.e. ~12pm and 5:30pm respectively).
