COFFEE : STAND UP 立良 (桌子很小不適合用電腦/恕不接待4人以上) — Restaurant in Xinyi District

I am pretty, pretty loyal to Peloso (which is pretty close by) because it was my first third wave roaster in Taipei. So coming to Coffee: Stand Up marks my first departure from Peloso. And I gotta say, it was a pretty darn good one.

True to it's name, it's small with minimal seating, so I would highly recommend it as a place to grab a coffee and go. But because of time mismanagement on my end, my family ended up meeting there to sit down and chat and the barista could not have been sweeter about us squatting down and hoarding all the chairs and the one table (the rest is more counter space and side table-ish).

The coffee itself is good. I ordered a latte and I don't know what what amazing milk they use here, but as a girl who likes her latte with sugar, I found myself not needing any sweetener.

So we were here for about two hours so I got to watch the barista work his magic and duties. Namely, namely...guys this is amazing. I saw him sit there with a small tray of green beans and a lamp shinning over it and him sifting through the beans. I mean, ya'll. Talk about small roast batches. To get that amount of care and consideration is almost unheard of!

My main regret is not buying a bag of whole beans. I thought I would have time to stop in again to do so, but alas. The strange coffee hours most Taipei coffee places hold did not allow for that to happen. I guess I'll just have to wait until my...

The gem café in this area. I was shocked with the takeaway or standing price. They offer 50$NT discounts. But the shop also look comfortable to sit in. Very quiet and good vibe.
