I first discovered Curista Coffee at their Sogo kiosk and fell in love with the Osmanthus Oolong Tea Latte. It had the perfect balance of coffee, oolong, and longan honey—truly memorable, and one of the reasons I wanted to visit their flagship store.
At the flagship, I started with the Taiwanese Wax Gourd Latte with Brown Sugar Jelly. Personally, the wax gourd flavor was a bit too strong for me, and the drink didn’t feel as refined as I had hoped. The brown sugar jelly texture wasn’t quite what I expected either, though it wasn’t bad.
Hoping to relive my first great experience, I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Tea Latte again. Unfortunately, this time it didn’t have the balance and depth I remembered. The flavor was weak, and I even had to ask for extra osmanthus syrup to bring it out more. I also noticed there was barely any ice in the cup, which might have made the drink taste watered down.
I’m not sure if it was just an off day or a preparation issue, but the drinks didn’t live up to the wonderful first impression I had. I still admire the creativity of their menu, but I wish the consistency between locations and visits...
Read moreThis was my second visit to this coffee shop, and I continue to be impressed. It has a spacious layout, so finding a seat is easy, even during busier times. Located on one of the busiest streets in Taipei, it’s very convenient and easy to spot.
The shop features a minimalist interior design, which feels comfortable and calming—the kind of space that invites you to stay awhile. Large floor-to-ceiling windows make the already open space feel even brighter and more inviting.
The music volume is just right, not too loud, and the staff, though busy, remain friendly. Most customers mind their own business—some are chatting, others, like me, were working. It’s a place where you can easily blend in, focus, and spend a few quiet hours without needing to interact.
Perfect for both work and...
Read moreThis place looks so modern and cool and I’m happy I dropped in for a visit. It has a very open concept and there is plenty of seating with natural light. There is an island in the middle of the room where all the drinks are made and food prepared. There is a good variety of teas, coffees, and juices to suit most people and an assortment of baked goods(croissants)and snacks to satisfy a sweet tooth. The decor and seating layout is modern looking with a unique twist on everything you’d expect to see in a coffee shop. We got a matcha latte and a cold Americano. The matcha latte was good and the coffee had a fresh fruity flavor as many shops offer now. I was happy with the service (English) and the professional attitude of the staff. I’d definitely go there again if I’m in the...
